Thanks to Arata's magic, which turned the capital into a sea of trees, Meliodas and the others faced no difficulty in sneaking in.
Although they used trees as cover to infiltrate, the number of Holy Knights was excessively large, forcing them to knock the knights unconscious during their reconnaissance.
However, Gowther's presence allowed him to silently eliminate the Holy Knights without issue.
Arata didn't miss the opportunity and copied both Gowther's magic and the Holy Knights fighting against the trees.
Using his thoughts, Arata controlled the trees, causing them to attack the Holy Knights and assisting in evacuating the inhabitants.
While Arata controlled the trees with his thoughts, he also had to provide them with the magical energy needed for actions like expanding and contracting.
"Is that...?" Arata murmured as he spotted the "Earth Sword" coming from the direction of the castle - "Diane..."
After a moment of hesitation, Arata flew over to Diane's location, disregarding the Holy Knights.
"Break!!" Dreyfus released his magic, attempting to strike the right side of Diane's chest.
"Full Counter!!" Someone appeared in front of Dreyfus's attack at an astonishing speed.
"Meliodas!!" Dreyfus exclaimed in surprise upon hearing the spell's name, but he quickly sensed something unusual - "Who are you..."
As Dreyfus questioned the stranger's identity, he didn't stay still and managed to evade the attack, recognizing its danger.
"You don't need to know who I am," Arata stated, appearing behind Dreyfus and delivering a blow with his hand enveloped in Break magic.
The luminous Break magic around Arata's hand resembled the effect of Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit.
Booooom*
Dreyfus couldn't react in time to Arata's attack and was swiftly defeated, crashing to the ground with little resistance.
"Arata!!" Diane exclaimed in surprise and joy upon seeing the one with fiery wings.
Diane was relieved that Arata had come, as she had been struggling against Dreyfus and the other five Holy Knights.
"Yo, Diane," Arata casually greeted, as if he hadn't just knocked someone down seconds ago.
"And who might you be..." Dreyfus inquired, quickly getting up. He seemed to have suffered minor injuries from Arata's attack, with a bit of blood on his lips and a shattered shield - "And how are you using Full Counter?"
Unaware that Arata had employed Break magic during the attack, Dreyfus posed his question.
"I'm a friend of Ban's, and I'm assisting him during this time," Arata explained, examining Dreyfus's body. Although there should have been a hole in his stomach from the blow, there wasn't one - "Why can I use Full Counter? It's quite simple."
"My inherent magic is Perfect Copy, allowing me to replicate any magic I witness," Arata clarified, pointing his finger, which was wrapped in Break magic, at Dreyfus. He then released the magic - "and that includes your innate ability."
"Break!!" Although taken aback, Dreyfus reacted promptly, unleashing a significant amount of magic to counter Arata's attack.
While Arata's attack might have appeared feeble, Dreyfus could sense the concentrated magical power within it. Thus, he exerted his full strength to counteract the attack.
"Hmmm," Arata murmured with satisfaction as he observed a familiar black mark briefly appearing on Dreyfus's forehead, disappearing almost as quickly as it had emerged.
As Arata and Dreyfus clashed, their attacks collided, resulting in a massive explosion of light that caused onlookers to shield their eyes.
The explosive brilliance made it impossible for anyone to notice the demonic mark that briefly materialized on Dreyfus's forehead.
Once the dust settled from the explosion, the Holy Knights gazed in awe at Arata and Dreyfus.
"Cough!!" Dreyfus dropped to his knees, coughing up a few mouthfuls of blood before using his sword to steady himself.
Seeing Dreyfus's condition, Gilthunder wasted no time. He deployed his magical power and hurried to Dreyfus's side.
"It seems wise to withdraw now," Gilthunder suggested, assisting Dreyfus and preparing to escape using his magic if needed.
"It appears there's still some intelligence among you," Arata nodded, pleased that Gilthunder was proposing a retreat.
Recognizing the significance of Dreyfus or Fraudrin in liberating the Demon Clan and obtaining Elizabeth's blood, Arata didn't want to incapacitate him and squander the opportunity.
Arata was confident that Meliodas would remain vigilant and make every effort to protect Elizabeth. As such, Dreyfus wouldn't receive another chance while undercover, his true identity as Fraudrin unknown.
"..." Gilthunder observed Arata for a moment, then used his lightning magic to swiftly depart with Dreyfus.
"Let's go, Diane," Arata instructed, settling on Diane's shoulder while concealing his fiery wings.
Arata's unique magical power was nearly depleted due to successive usage.
Activating "Birth of a World of Trees" and transforming the Liones Capital into a forest had consumed over 30% of his magical energy.
Additionally, controlling the trees to combat the Holy Knights and evacuate the residents had drained nearly 50% of his magical energy.
"Are you okay?" Diane inquired, noticing Arata's slightly pale complexion.
"No worries, just depleted a fair amount of magical energy," Arata responded, taking a moment to rest and close his eyes.
"Alright then," Diane agreed, and with renewed determination, she hastened toward the southern entrance where the magical concentration was highest and where formidable opponents were engaged.
_
"Wait for Diane," Arata directed as they moved through the neighborhoods near the southern entrance.
"What happened?" Diane halted, puzzled by Arata's choice of location.
"I'll disembark here, and you proceed to the southern gate," Arata explained, jumping down from Diane's shoulder and landing on a tree.
"Got it. Take care," Diane responded, resuming her swift advance toward the southern gate.
"Looks like she was holding herself back for me," Arata mumbled, observing Diane's rapid pace, which exceeded her previous speed.
"Now, let's uncover the fool attempting to deceive my friend," Arata muttered, his expression growing cold. He leapt off the tree with a straightforward, unremarkable jump, akin to a leaf carried by the wind. However, upon impact with the ground, he created a substantial crater.
Soon, Arata found himself within a dimly lit chamber, its grandeur highlighted by a colossal luminous horn.
The Cernunnos Horn.
This unusual, glowing horn was named the Horn of Cernunnos, a ritualistic artifact facilitating communication with the realm of the Goddess Clan. In reality, it served as a vessel for a Goddess.
"Who's there?" Ban cautiously inquired, his view obscured by dust and smoke, preventing him from identifying the intruder.
"It's Arata, Ban," Arata called out, advancing toward Ban and the glowing horn.
"Arata?" Ban expressed surprise at his arrival, wondering how Arata knew of this location. "What brings you here?"
"Just here to witness the audacity of this ugly horn attempting to deceive my friend," Arata declared, his gaze icy and intent on the Horn of Cernunnos.
"Deception…" Ban murmured and the doubts he had suppressed in the back of his head quickly reappeared .
"Deception indeed. What insolence," a dignified voice emanated from the Horn of Cernunnos, the speaker appearing perturbed by Arata's actions.
"I'll determine that," Arata stated, standing before the Horn of Cernunnos with his hands in his pockets. "You claim it's a simple matter to revive Elaine, yet you hold no authority over resurrection and reincarnation cycles."
Based on Arata's recollections, only a few individuals possessed the ability to revive the deceased, temporarily at best. The exceptions were the Demon King and Supreme Deity. Arata was certain that the current century did not feature either of these two individuals.
"Why do you know this?" a voice tinged with disbelief emanated from the horn, astonishment and wariness evident in its tone.
The individual within the Horn of Cernunnos belonged to the Goddess Clan but lacked the power to control reincarnation. What struck them most was Arata's unwavering confidence, as if he knew the horn's possessor.
Of course, Arata wasn't privy to the identity of the horn's occupant. His assurance arose from his knowledge of the anime, where Meliodas had affirmed that the occupant of the Horn of Cernunnos lacked the ability to revive Elaine.
"Arata, are you certain?" Ban's voice exuded frustration as he harbored doubts regarding the horn's dubious claims. It had assigned him an unspecified task before Arata's arrival, leaving him curious about its intentions.
"Disregard what this human says," the Horn of Cernunnos protested, alarmed by the unfolding situation. "Reviving a single Fairy is a trifling matter..."
"Silence!" Arata's cold and angry tone cut through, interrupting the horn's words. He took offense at the suggestion that reviving a person was simple, considering the difficulty he knew it entailed.
"Do you belittle the act of reviving the deceased?" Arata inquired icily, his black flames intensifying as he contemplated reducing the Horn of Cernunnos to ashes.
"I don't belittle resurrection, but..." the Horn of Cernunnos began, a sense of fear creeping in, "If she pleaded with the majesty of the Goddess Supreme, she might revive her."
"True, but why should we heed your words when I can communicate directly with the Supreme Deity?" Arata questioned, withdrawing a simple silver ring.
"This is..." the horn reacted with disbelief, recognizing the item.
"It's exactly what you think," Arata confirmed, channeling his magical energy into the ring.
The ring emitted a gentle glow upon absorbing Arata's magical energy, projecting an image into the air. The image depicted a towering figure shrouded in mist, its features obscured. With ten pairs of pure white wings and adorned in an ethereal white gown, the figure's feminine attributes were discernible.
"Why did you call me?" the figure inquired, its voice stunningly beautiful, exuding regal majesty.
"Your Majesty!" the Horn of Cernunnos exclaimed, astounded by the appearance and voice of the Goddess Clan's ruler. Despite their skepticism, they couldn't help but acknowledge that the figure before them was truly the Supreme Deity.
"Horn of Cernunnos," Supreme Deity addressed with recognition, not sparing the horn a second glance.
"What can I do for you?" Supreme Deity inquired, focusing her gaze on Arata, who had approached the horn.
"I seek a favor," Arata replied, glancing at Ban momentarily, "I ask that you revive a Fairy named Elaine."
"I don't mind granting your request, but..." Supreme Deity began, her tone hesitant, "It is not possible at this moment. You'll need to wait until I release the seal, which won't take long."
"Thank you," Arata expressed his gratitude, severing the connection with Supreme Deity.
"Did you hear that, Ban?" Arata turned to Ban, who appeared stunned by the interaction.
"Yeah," Ban nodded, his eyes betraying his excitement at the prospect of Elaine's resurrection, which now seemed feasible and imminent.
"Now," Arata's tone grew colder as he stared at the Horn of Cernunnos, his black flames flickering with increased intensity. "It's time for us to settle the score."
An intense surge of black flames engulfed the Horn of Cernunnos in an instant.
"Arrrrgh!!" a pained cry resonated from the horn. "My soul... my soul is burning!"
The individual from the Goddess Clan experienced horror as the black flames consumed their soul, reducing it to ashes.
In a matter of seconds, the Horn of Cernunnos had disintegrated into ashes, and the pitiable cries of the Goddess Clan member ceased.
