Chapitre 32: Chapter 32 : Vaizel Fighting Festival l
"We have found, Diane's Sacred Treasure" Arata asked as he walked in the market with Ban and Meliodas.
Hawk awakened him a while ago and brought him here without knowing what was happening.
"That's right, Gideon was offered as a prize in the Vaizel Festival's fighting tournament," said Meliodas as they walked towards the festival site.
"So why did you have to wake me up?" Arata asked, feeling drowsy from drinking late last night.
"Because Ban registered your name as a participant in the tournament," Meliodas replied, pointing to Ban, who was wearing an apron with nothing underneath.
"I see," Arata yawned, looking at Ban. "Thanks, this is a good opportunity to stretch my body after doing nothing but eating, drinking, and sleeping for a few days."
The group soon arrived to witness that the referee was about to announce the first round of the Vaizel Fighting Festival.
"The first round is a royal battle," said the referee, a helmet with legs and arms. "The battle will continue until only eight people remain on the battlefield."
"Now all participants, step onto the battlefield," the referee cheered, acting more like a clown than a referee.
Upon hearing the referee, Arata and the others walked to the battlefield, while Ban pulled King by the collar.
"What's a weakling like you doing here?" Arata heard a arrogant voice and looked up to see a shiny bald head.
"Saitama!!" Arata was surprised for a moment at the sight of the bald head.
"Saitama?" the person mumbled arrogantly, pointing at Arata. "I don't know who this weakling is, but I'm the three-time consecutive champion of this tournament, Taizoo-sama."
Arata stared at the person in front of him, and all signs of drowsiness vanished, replaced by expressions of utter boredom.
"Do you hear me, brat?" Taizoo yelled, and veins bulged on his forehead from anger at Arata's indifferent expressions.
"You're annoying," Arata said, pointing at Taizoo. "Explosion."
As soon as Arata muttered, Taizoo was blown out of the arena and flew away.
Because Arata controlled his magical power production to the minimum, his magic caused no harm.
Arata stared at the soaring Taizoo and could only think of Saitama when he saw that shining bald head.
"Ouch!!" Arata heard a familiar voice and felt a small body hitting him.
"King, what are you doing?" Arata asked, looking at the brown-haired child holding a green pillow.
"Arata!!" King exclaimed excitedly, gazing at Arata as if he were some kind of savior. "I was running away from the fight, so please protect me."
"No problem, but you'll have to lend me that pillow later," Arata nodded, pointing to Chastiefol in King's hands. "It looks comfortable to sleep on."
"Hoy!!" King protested, not liking Arata's description of his Sacred Treasure as comfortable for sleeping, despite it being true.
"We agreed," but thinking of Diane's smile when she gets her Sacred Treasure back, he agreed without hesitation.
"Then stay by my side," Arata said, slapping a person and sending him flying out of the arena as he tried to hit King.
"Oh! Arata, are you babysitting King?" Ban remarked upon seeing Arata protecting King.
"Hoy!!" King protested, not liking Ban's description of him, despite it being true.
"You can say that," Arata said, and then used Explosion on a group of people flying towards him.
"Hey, guys..." King muttered, feeling pain in his heart as Ban and Arata mocked him.
"Don't bully King too much," Meliodas said as he approached them.
"Captain!!" King exclaimed happily, seeing Meliodas in his row.
"Look at him, he's about to cry because of your constant bullying," Meliodas continued his previous sentence, making King cry upon hearing it.
"Give me back my respect!" King cried dramatically, feeling foolish for getting affected by Meliodas's words.
"Hahaha," the three burst into laughter upon seeing King crying, not even hearing the referee announcing the end of the first round.
"Those fools forgot about the competition and started joking around," Diane muttered with a smile as she saw her friends teasing and laughing.
"What's going on?" Meliodas asked puzzled when he saw the referee and the other participants walking out of the arena.
"Now the next battles will be announced," King answered Meliodas's question, having stopped crying.
When King said that, the four quickly followed the referee and the other participants.
"And now the division of the next battles will be announced," said the referee after everyone had drawn lots.
First Round: Griamore vs. Matrona (Diane)
Second Round: Howzer vs. Arata
Third Round: Cain vs. Osan
Fourth Round: Ba-an vs. Meliodafu
Nothing has changed from the anime, except that Arata will fight Howzer instead of the bald Taizoo.
