Chapitre 6: A Million Dreams
"This is Shawn Mendes, 'A Million Dreams' take 35." The Music played one final time and we sang the song for the last run of the day.

We all clapped our hands, we had finally finished recording the song after a couple days and could finally publish it out to the world. To say that I was anything other than excited would be an understatement.
"Not bad kid, you did a good job." Jackman rubbed by head with a smile as he took off his headset. I just needed to wait for him to post something about the song on his social feed and then I can publish it, with some help of course.
"No, thank you for helping me with the song. I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't helped me record it." I smiled back to the man, excited at the idea that I would soon be a famous artist. I wouldn't be world famous, but it's a start.
"Well, let me know if you need any more help. I'll be happy to help you if you need it." He held out his hand for a handshake and I happily grasped it. I tried to make my handshake firm, but it was nothing like his. "You gotta work on your shake kid."
We just laughed and walked out of the room. Ms. Portman was watching our interaction with a smile on her face, pleased that we were getting along with one another.
"I'll post that message tonight when I reach my hotel room. I'll say that the song is going to be released at the end of the week, that gives you plenty of time for you to work on the song." Jackman spoke as he walked to the back of the black car that had come to pick him up.
"No worries, I'll have it finished and ready. Just make sure to tell everyone that I wrote the song in your post!" I waved goodbye as he nodded his head and was driven away. My first meeting with a celebrity in this world was over before I even got famous. I had no idea what was going to happen in the future when I really became famous.
Now that I think about it, there haven't really been any big villain attacks. This world is meant to be a world with heroes and villains, yet I haven't seen a single one. I'm certain that crime still exists, that will always exist, so why haven't I seen anything like that one the news?
"This just in, a villain with a powerful quirk has attacked the capital city of the island of Cuba, Havana. This villain is destroying buildings through the use of his gigantification quirk. His quirk gives him the physique of an elephant and allows him to increase in size and strength."
Damn it, I just had to jinx it didn't I? At least it isn't anywhere near here, I don't have to worry about potentially being caught in the crossfire.
"Multiple local heroes have attempted to subdue this enraged villain, but so far no success has been made. It is estimated that he has killed at least 40 people, with more likely being injured during his rampage."
Seriously? Now I feel bad for thinking about being glad it wasn't near here. I hope someone will quickly deal with him.
"We are now tuning into a live feed from a civilian at the sight of the attack. Be warned, this may contain violent and gruesome images. If you do not wish for children to see this then send them away or switch the channel."
I was the only one in the room at the moment and I wasn't going to change the channel. After a few short moments the image changed and the sight of the villain and the ruined buildings appeared on the screen.
"Back off, I swear to god I'll kill her!" The voice of the villain could be heard through the video, showing the elephant villain holding a little girl in his hand. The girl was bawling her eyes out, terrified by what was happening right now.
Shit, she's probably around my age. Why did he have to grab a little girl? The heroes can't even do anything because they're too weak, and now that villain is just going to continue going on a rampage.
"Fear not child! Because I am here!" I would recognize that catchphrase anywhere, but that doesn't make any sense. All Might isn't here at the moment, so who would be speaking his catchphrase?
Coming in from the sky on a jet fighter was a tall and buff woman in a suit designed like the US flag. She had 8 long tufts of hair, like the ones All Might had on his head, and her hands on her waist as she flew towards the villain.
She leaped from the fighter jet faster than the common eye could see, reaching the villain and touching his back before speaking a new order.
"Luiz Hernandez will be knocked unconscious if he moves from his current position." Star and Stripes declared as she activated her quirk. The villain turned to look at who was talking, moving and activating the effect of Star's quirk.
Falling to the ground, the villain was knocked unconscious. The little girl began to scream as she was also falling with the villain, but before anyone could move to rescue her Star had already moved and grabbed the girl from the villains grasp and set her on the ground.
The girl was still crying, but the hero stayed by her side after confirming that there was no more threat. The police showed up and placed the villain in a full body bind that restricted the villains movement and stopped him from using his strength.
The image returned back to that of the news station with the reporter.
"It seems that this incident has been resolved with the intervention of America's very own No. 1 Hero: Star and Stripes. Swiftly moving in, she was able to take care of the villain as soon as she arrived on the scene. We will have more on this incident later, for now let's move over to the weather."
I switched off the TV, no longer interested in the news. I was shocked to see Star and Stripes arrive on the scene, she must have been nearby if she arrived so quickly. I feel bad for those families that were affected by the villain attack though, and especially that little girl.
I hope that she can recover from that attack, after all, it would be pretty traumatizing to have been nearly crushed to death.
"Shawn! Dinner is ready!" Taylor rushed in and grabbed my arm, pulling me off the couch. I just let her drag me, ready to eat after that.
Little did I know that that event would impact me more than I had ever thought.
