Jia Li's eyelids fluttered open, and her brows knit together in a slow, deliberate motion. As her consciousness returned, her first coherent thought centered on her marriage to Xianwu. It was swiftly followed by recollections of her recent actions—her impromptu dance and her bold request for a kiss.

Her eyes widened, and for a fleeting moment, she held her breath, a rush of realization and apprehension flooding her senses. 

Jia Li tilted her head and saw Xianwu in a deep slumber. She lifted the duvet from his side and took a look inside. Xianwu had his clothes, which made her smile. As she slowly sat up, the cool air touched her bare arms and she looked down. 

Seeing herself in only the chest coverage, Jia Li again moved inside the duvet. "How could I undress in front of him?" Jia Li murmured and turned her back to Xianwu. She hit her forehead lightly with her hand, recalling her actions from the last night.
