It was still strange for Sarell to lie on his old bed although it had been well over a week since he had returned to the Golden Castle. His old bed should be familiar but it wasn't; his body still hadn't adjusted from Prince Velia's bed.

And this was why Sarell avoided his room unless it was late at night and he was thoroughly exhausted because when he wasn't occupied, it was easy for his thoughts to drift to the Crown Prince.

He had thought about his invitation to his castle far too many times but that was all he did, think about it. He didn't dare consider choosing if to go or not, unable to bring himself to that conclusion.

Another dire consequence of lying down when he wasn't completely tired out was the way his skin heated up, craving touch, his stomach an empty aching pit. He stood this for a while before getting out of his bed, upset with his traitorous body.
