Chapitre 400: Shower Together

As Steffan was trying to force himself to pull out of the deep maze, Lauren's scream pierced through the fog of his failing consciousness just before he felt a numbing pain from the force of a hard object hitting the back of his head. 

He grunted as his knees buckled, and he collapsed to the ground, gasping for air as the darkness threatened to swallow him whole.

Lauren's second horrified scream seemed to come from a far distance was the last thing he heard before the world around him faded black.

Lauren rushed to his side, her hands shaking as she tried to rouse him, but Steffan was unresponsive.

The thugs loomed over them, their victory clear. The tall thug grabbed Lauren by the arm, pulling her away from Steffan's unconscious form.

"Let's go," he snarled, dragging her toward the SUV.
