Chapitre 692: Tyranitar's Seastone Storm

"Pupitar, are you not feeling well?"

Audino had just left, and the examination results confirmed that Pupitar is healthy, with all its vital signs stable. However, even Audino couldn't figure out what's going on with Pupitar.

Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center is called a Pokémon Center, but in essence, it was more of a hospital for humans. For the numerous Pokémon currently under care, there was already some research on potential illnesses they might encounter, such as Mareep's overcharging or Whimsicott's shedding.

However, for a rare Pokémon like Pupitar, only Arceus might know what the issue was.

Yet, Pupitar wasn't sick; its personality had simply undergone some changes. Yamato didn't feel the need to contact Arceus because of this.

"Pupitarrr..."

After a while, Pupitar finally responded. As it did, gas began escaping from its vents, and cracks started forming on the surface of its body.

"This is..."

Before Yamato could react, the cracks on Pupitar's body suddenly burst open, releasing a dazzling white light that gradually enveloped its body, then its size rapidly began to increase.

In no time, a colossal creature, over twenty meters tall and far larger than Emboar, appeared in the square.

"Tyranitarrr!"

The monster roared towards the sky, as if stretching its limbs. Although Pupitar is agile, it's still in its pupa stage. Only when it breaks out from its cocoon does it reach its final form—the Desert Tyrant, Tyranitar.

Resembling a Godzilla-like dinosaur, its body was encased in a green shell, forming a sturdy armor capable of withstanding most attacks.

Several spikes jutted out from the back of its head, neck, and shoulders, giving it a menacing and terrifying appearance.

The tip of its tail also has a ring of smaller spikes, forming a tail club similar to that of an Ankylosaurus. This tail can deal significant damage to enemies in battle.

Its wide-open mouth revealed two pairs of sharp canine teeth, the only teeth inside Tyranitar's mouth, giving it a resemblance to a much larger version of a young Larvitar.

The holes in its armor remained, but its exposed belly was no longer a weak spot, now covered with a hardened shell.

"Wow, that's so cool! You look so handsome after evolving!"

Building a Gundam might still be complicated, but who needs a Gundam when you can have a monster like this? After all, there are monster fans too, as long as it's not something unbearably ugly. Even monsters can have their own fans.

"Tyranitarrr~"

Tyranitar agreed with Yamato's statement. It also thought it was very handsome, but its next move shattered that feeling.

It flexed its arms, examining the three small claws on each. Then, it grabbed a large rock from the ground and, without a second thought, tossed it into its mouth. It had been a long time since it had eaten to its heart's content.

Pupitar, in its pupa state, spent most of the time digesting the energy it had accumulated during its Larvitar stage until it was ready for its next evolution.

The resources stored in its body ensured it didn't lack food, but that didn't mean it didn't want to eat. For a glutton, being unable to eat freely for an entire stage was pure torture.

Due to its anatomy, during its Pupitar phase, it could only nibble on small things. At that stage, its mouth was just a small slit, barely able to eat anything to satisfy its cravings. Otherwise, it would have devoured all the building materials itself.

Whether it was soil or rocks, Tyranitar shoved it all into its mouth, quickly leaving a large pit in the ground. Only then did it stop, still not fully satisfied.

It sat down with a look of satisfaction. To the average person, it might not be apparent, but this guy was essentially a walking disaster—a true monster capable of reshaping mountains and rivers.

And as it sat down, Yamato noticed something unusual. The sky suddenly grew dark—not from nightfall, but because dust had obscured the sun. A massive sandstorm had abruptly appeared.

After evolving, Tyranitar lost its Ground-type attribute and became a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon. Along with this change, its ability also transformed into Sand Stream, causing a sandstorm to appear wherever it went.

Wano Country was well-known for its lush greenery, and sandstorms hadn't occurred in many years. The sudden yellow sand everywhere in the sky left the local residents bewildered.

Earlier, it had just evolved and wasn't yet familiar with its new strength. As it gradually gained control over its body, its ability began to manifest. However, the ones most affected weren't the ordinary residents, but rather a Devil Fruit User who happened to be passing by.

This Tyranitar wasn't just enormous; it had also grown up consuming Seastone.

While they couldn't create Seastone freely, within the first half-hour after creating a rock, the rocks had the same effect as Seastone. About 15 minutes later, their power begins to fade, and after half an hour, they turn into ordinary stones.

This conclusion was reached when Geodude was first created. The sandstorm created by this Tyranitar wasn't just any ordinary sandstorm—it was a Seastone Storm. On the battlefield, it can even render all Devil Fruit Users powerless within an area.

In addition to sand, the storm contained dust particles infused with Seastone. When inhaled, these particles can limit Devil Fruit User's power at best, and at worst, cause immediate paralysis. The biggest drawback is that it can't distinguish between friend and foe.

Speed was one of those affected, collapsing to the ground. The intense sandstorm was painful to endure. If no one came to help, weaker Devil Fruit Users could easily be buried alive by Tyranitar.

"Tyranitar! Stop! Stop creating this sandstorm!"

At first, Yamato was curious about the weather—she had never been to a desert country—but she quickly realized the problem. If this kept up, it would turn into a disaster.

Tyranitar's Sandstorm wasn't uncontrollable; it was a special skill powered by its own energy. If it couldn't stop it, the Sand Stream ability would have turned the entire world into a desert by now.

The range and intensity of the Sandstorm can be adjusted based on the concentration of Seastone energy.

The Sandstorm Tyranitar created wasn't particularly large or intense, but the sand beneath Yamato's feet had already reached her ankles. If it didn't stop soon, she would likely die from exhaustion.

Just like how she had to repair the floor, Arceus would likely make her clean up all this sand.

Upon hearing the command, Tyranitar mobilized the energy within its body. After persisting for a while, the Sandstorm dissipated, and Tyranitar used the sand to fill up the pit it had created. As time passed, it once again reverted back to ordinary yellow sand.

Tyranitar also consumed the excess sand, greatly reducing waste. However, many of the surrounding buildings were now covered in dust, and a major cleanup was inevitable.

This process of creating sand and then consuming it again didn't replenish its stamina, but it did satisfy Tyranitar's craving. For Tyranitar, it was like a unique form of rumination.
