For the members of the Avengers, the Hoi-Poi Capsules can truly be described as a pleasant surprise.
Although for most members, the Hoi-Poi Capsules may not bring much improvement in combat power but it greatly enhances the convenience of carrying supplies.
Being able to carry more supplies with them means that the Avengers can adapt better to the terrain of the battlefield and significantly improve their endurance in battles.
While the Hoi-Poi Capsules may not directly enhance their upper limit of strength, it indirectly elevates their lower limit of capabilities, allowing them to better showcase their abilities.
Not to mention that Mark has brought more than just this one invention for the Avengers. With Tony's cooperation, they have been gradually installing some teleportation portals in key transportation hub cities around the world.
Coupled with the equipment that was already installed in the Avengers Tower, it can be said that a spatial transportation network has quietly taken shape.
The first ones to experience the wonders and convenience of the teleportation portals were Thor and Doctor Banner.
Before going on their mission, Thor had already promised his girlfriend, Jane Foster, that after completing the task, he would return to London to accompany her to an engagement party with her good friend and assistant, Darcy Lewis, and Darcy's intern assistant, Ian.
So, when Mark heard about Thor's plan, it happened that Thor, who had originally planned to rely his hammer to fly all the way to be the first Avenger to use the teleportation portal after its official launch.
After opening the portal's positioning system and establishing a teleportation channel with another gate in the London base. When Thor stepped through it, he found that the scenery around him had completely changed.
Quickly opening the gate to observe the surroundings outside the base, the first thing he saw was the iconic River Thames. After confirming that he had indeed arrived in London, Thor hurried back inside the base and returned through the portal to the Avengers Tower.
"Mark, Heimdall was right. You are indeed the smartest person in the Nine Realms, without a doubt! It takes almost no time to travel to the other end through the teleportation portal. Even Asgard's Bifrost can't achieve this."
Hearing Thor's description, Doctor Banner, who was already very curious about the teleportation portal, was the second to express his desire to experience it.
Doctor Banner didn't have any specific appointments to attend, but he wanted to thoroughly experience the mysteries of the teleportation portal.
If it was as amazing as Thor described, then perhaps this technology could be used to realize an idea that had been in his mind for a long time.
Since he was only interested in trying it out, Doctor Banner didn't ask Mark to change the destination on the other side. Following Thor's sequence, he walked directly through the portal.
The result was unquestionable, of course. Doctor Banner successfully took a single step and arrived from the interior of Avengers Tower in New York to the faraway base near River Thames in London.
After truly witnessing the marvel of the teleportation portal, Doctor Banner excitedly returned to Mark and said to him, "This is fantastic, Mark! This invention is amazing. I have a request, and I must ask you to help me make it happen."
Seeing the excitement in the other person's eyes, Mark first calmed down Doctor Banner's restless emotions and then calmly said, "Doctor Banner, take a deep breath and calm down. Whatever request you have, just go ahead and ask. As long as it's within my abilities and I can help you, I will do my best."
Doctor Banner nodded, taking a few deep breaths to compose himself.
"Here's the thing, Mark. As you know, there's a rather volatile individual residing within me.
If one day I can't contain the inner turmoil and let him out, it will be a huge problem for anyone involved."
"So, in the past, I used to hide in remote jungles and mountains, not only to evade the military's pursuit but also to avoid harming innocent people when I transformed into Hulk.
Though now, with the mood stabilizer you've invented, I can control my anger and prevent turning into Hulk easily. However, the mood stabilizer is still an external device, and if it gets damaged, there's a possibility of losing complete control."
"After seeing the teleportation portals you've invented, I had only one thought in my mind. You can use them to banish Hulk when he is uncontrollable, to any desolate place, even into space, to avoid the threat Hulk poses."
"Since last year, Tony and I have been working together on a special anti-Hulk Hulkbuster armor. Every design parameter of Hulkbuster is aimed at restraining Hulk's abilities to the maximum extent, trying to defeat him...."
"But no matter how powerful Hulkbuster is, the damage caused when fighting Hulk can't be kept too low. Moreover, there's always the possibility that Hulkbuster might be defeated by the uncontrollable Hulk, so this strategy only reduces some risks but can't completely solve the problem."
"But with the cooperation of the space teleportation portal, it's entirely different. While Hulkbuster may not be able to completely defeat Hulk, based on my understanding of Hulk and Tony's mechanical prowess, the Hulkbuster we create can temporarily subdue Hulk."
"By setting up a teleportation portal in an uninhabited location beforehand and having Hulkbuster throw the uncontrollable Hulk there, we can effectively prevent the threats caused by Hulk."
"So, I hope, Mark, that you can help us create a mobile version of the space teleportation portal specifically to counter this threat."
After listening to Doctor Banner's story, Mark hadn't expected that he and Tony had already developed the Hulkbuster during the time he was away training on Kamar-Taj. It seems they had been diligently working on this matter.
Furthermore, if everything still unfolds according to the original storyline, Doctor Banner would indeed lose control and rampage under the influence of Scarlet Witch, causing severe destruction in the heart of New York City.
This incident would eventually become the catalyst for Hulk leaving Earth aboard the Quinjet.
Since Mark already knows how enormous the threat will be once Hulk goes on a rampage, he certainly has an obligation to help control the threat within acceptable limits for Doctor Banner.
Immediately after Doctor Banner made the request, Mark agreed without hesitation and assured him that he would postpone other matters to manufacture the mobile version of the space teleportation portal as quickly as possible.
"I'm sorry, Baymax. You've been waiting for so long, just wait a little longer. After all, Doctor Banner's situation is a bit more complicated..."
In order to swiftly create the mobile version of the space teleportation portal to counter Hulk's threat, the upgrade that was initially promised to Baymax had to be temporarily postponed.
After silently apologizing to Baymax in his heart, Mark started working tirelessly on the modifications for the space teleportation portal.
