Chapitre 31: 31. Proposing a deal

A FEW HOURS LATER 

"I have a deal for you." Arabella said while sitting in front of Damien with crossed legs. 

Her tone, posture, attitude, everything was screaming professionalism. Damien raised his eyebrows at her. His face turned stony too.

"Something never changes, huh?" He murmured to himself while looking intensely at her. Their marriage was a deal as well. Their marriage was a lot of things that were almost insulting to the holy relationship. 

"Maybe. At least I never changed like the other people did around me." Arabella said.

Damien was smart enough to catch the taunt behind her words. She was taunting him as if everything was his fault, when it wasn't his fault at all. It was all her. Still he was here, taking care of her, trying to hear himself out and accept her back in his life for his daughter even though she has a son. Also he was already pissed off at her for her words before entering the room.
