On the ride, Abel realized that Kaneki Ken had actually been lured out by Tsukiyama Shuu's 'frequently visited shop.'
This guy was the main dish.
He was merely a dessert that the other party picked up along the way.
Having understood this, Abel's anticipation for what would happen next grew stronger.
Tsukiyama Shuu's restaurant was located in District 7.
But this restaurant was different from normal ones.
Because it was a ghoul restaurant, it offered various types of human cuisine prepared using different methods of death, and clients were killed on the spot to please the ghoul customers.
That's right, here, humans weren't customers but were instead part of the menu.
Upon entering, Kaneki Ken was astonished by the lavish decorations.
As they were led to a door, Tsukiyama Shuu suddenly spoke: "I apologize, but can you wait here for a moment? Something just came up that I need to take care of."
After finishing his words, Tsukiyama Shuu quickly turned and left.
"Are you ready?"
"Huh? Mr. Abel, what do you mean?"
Abel, calmly inhaling the bloody scent coming from inside, said, "The preparation to be eaten or to eliminate everyone 'inside'."
Kaneki Ken hesitated for a moment, about to ask again, when the doors in front of them slowly opened.
They walked straight in. What came into view was a place resembling an ancient coliseum, with a circular area in the middle and tiered seating rising around it, filled with masked men and women.
Even with their masks on, their fervent gazes were unstoppable.
For some reason, those gazes made Kaneki feel extremely uneasy.
He also noticed many fresh bloodstains on the ground of the arena.
Recalling what Mr. Abel had said before they entered,
Kaneki's face revealed a look of fear, his head moving frantically trying to find Tsukiyama Shuu, who had brought him here.
And indeed, he found him!
Even with a mask on, Tsukiyama Shuu's flamboyant and sickly demeanor could not be hidden.
He stood at the highest point of the stands, deeply inhaling the scent of a handkerchief stained with Kaneki's blood, his expression one of ecstasy, like a complete deviant.
Then he threw the handkerchief down, and the customers below fought over it desperately like it was a quality check before mealtime.
Everyone revealed satisfied and excited expressions.
And at that moment, Tsukiyama Shuu had already ripped off his disguise.
Amidst a chorus of cheers, he laughed unreservedly.
Kaneki felt very uneasy, wanting to leave, but he found the door behind him already firmly shut.
"Welcome to my restaurant, this is the special delicacy I've prepared for everyone, please enjoy it to your heart's content!"
Just like that, another wave of passionate cheers erupted, as if they were Tsukiyama Shuu's ardent fans.
Then, the doors opposite Abel and Kaneki were opened, and out walked a two-meter-tall, extremely muscular fat man holding a huge iron saw.
He was the 'chef' in charge of preparing today's dish.
"So, have you despaired already?"
Abel lit a cigarette for himself and glanced at Kaneki, who had collapsed to his knees.
He thought to himself that Kaneki, who had not been thoroughly tormented yet, was indeed a bit low.
But it didn't matter anyway, he was just here for some fun.
Kaneki was about to say something when his pupils constricted, seeing the 'little chubby chef' swinging the iron saw toward Abel, who remained motionless.
"Be careful!"
He shouted, as if summoning some power from within.
But what happened next made him stop in his tracks.
The saw hit Abel's neck, but instead of the expected scene where his head would fly off, the saw blade broke.
Seeing this, even the 'chubby chef' himself was stunned and at a loss.
Abel exhaled a puff of smoke, and the briefcase in his hands transformed into a fearsome large machete which he gripped in his hand.
Then he made a small gesture.
Thud!
A red line emerged across the middle of the 'chubby chef's' body, and he split into two halves, falling to the ground with a thud.
Organs and blood spilled out, a grotesque sight.
This unexpected turn of events caused some commotion at the scene.
"I didn't expect today's 'dessert' to be such an esteemed investigator; it brings me so much joy!"
"Therefore, I've decided to step in as the 'chef' for today."
As these words were spoken, the commotion at the scene halted, and the guests' excitement surged even more.
A delicious gourmet dish plus an investigator for dessert, what blissful indulgence!
Many could hardly wait any longer.
But Abel took no notice of Tsukiyama Shuu, who had volunteered to step in.
"Three moves."
"Huh?"
"I'll give you three moves, as a token for the ride."
"Are you joking? Do I, Tsukiyama Shuu, need your charity?"
"Hurry up, I'm in a rush."
Abel's attitude clearly irritated Tsukiyama Shuu.
A blue ribbon-like kagune emerged from below Tsukiyama Shuu's shoulder blade, aiming a sharp arrowhead at Abel's chest.
But when it struck Abel, it failed to penetrate his defense and was deflected.
"1"
Abel, still smoking, muttered the number calmly.
Tsukiyama Shuu's previously confident expression froze, then in a rage, he withdrew the kagune, wrapping it around his right arm, forming a cone-like shape, and thrust forcefully at his opponent once more.
"2"
Along with the number, another puff of smoke was exhaled right into Tsukiyama Shuu's face.
"Dammit, what the hell are you?!"
"I'm going to kill you!"
Tsukiyama Shuu burst out more kagune, condensing it into the shape of a sword, and slashed at Abel's neck.
Clang!
It was as though he had struck something harder than steel.
"3"
"Now it's my turn."
Abel discarded his cigarette butt and raised the machete, bringing it down.
Feeling the threat of death, Tsukiyama Shuu no longer had his earlier composure and hastily layered all his kagune in front to defend.
The good news for him was the kagune he possessed was armored kagune, the toughest kind, providing him with formidable protection.
The bad news was... it didn't hold.
Shrrr!
The seemingly sturdy armored kagune was sliced through as easily as paper, leaving a deep, long, and terrible wound on Tsukiyama Shuu.
A little more, and he would have been cleaved in half diagonally!
"Why is this happening?"
As he fell to the ground, Tsukiyama Shuu wore a look of disbelief.
Then he suddenly remembered their conversation in the car.
"So I am the one being hunted."
