Chapitre 40: Chapter 40:Splash
"Start!"
Wasting no time at all,Kuki instantly rushed in while throwing knives.
Mizugestu and Hori weren't fazed and calmly dodges Kuki's knives while unsheathing their weapon,Hori wielding a typical katana while Mizugestu wielded a wakizashi , a katana-like sword with a shorter and straighter blade compared to a katana.
Activating his byakugan,Kuki carefully dodge and parries Hori's and Mizugestu's attacks at point blank range while waiting for a chance to counter.As Hori was fending off Kuki,Mizugestu leaped backwards and performed some hand signs at an impressive speed before spewing water bullets out of her mouth headed towards Kuki.
Seeing this Hori stepped to the side leaving Kuki open to Mizugestu's attack.Using his byakugan to its full capacity,veins popped out on his face as me maneuvers around Mizugestu's bullets,taking the chance Hori managed to narrowly slice Kuki on his left forearm as he was occupied with the water bullets.
Feeling the sharp pain in his forearm,Kuki's face scrunched slightly before deactivating his byakugan and returning to the usual grin,seeing that Hori's swordsmanship was not to be underestimated,Kuki threw away the knives he was holding.Using his left hand to make half of the triangle hand seal,a large knife appeared as he made a drawing motion with his right hand.
As Kuki was preparing his offensive stance,Hori didn't want to give him rest,she rushed in aiming to break his stance prematurely but to her surprise,just as she closed the distance,Kuki abruptly abandoned his stance and did a backflip,revealing a Hozuki glowing with blue aura charging at her.
Hori was flabbergasted but was still able to hurriedly block as Hozuki performed an upward slash,knocking Hori away and her sword out of her grasp.
Seeing that her teammates weren't holding up well,Mizugestu tried to slip into Hozuki's side but was blocked by Kuki's massive knife that was disproportionate to his small frame.
"Going somewhere?" Kuki chuckled as he taunted Mizugestu,not fazed by the provocation,Mizugetsu cleverly hides behind Kuki's blade as he throws strikes at her,barely grazing her skin leaving only scratches even at such a close range.
But she stopped dodging,confusing Kuki but he wouldn't miss such a good chance to attack against a formidable foe.Winding his arm back as he grabbed onto the knife with both hands,he swung directly at Mizugestu's torso,this could be lethal.
Facing such dangers,to the audience's surprise, Mizugestu did not even attempt to dodge or parry as if she had accepted death.
Kuki on the other hand doesn't seem to have even an ounce of hesitation as her swung his knife through Mizugestu splitting her in half.
*Splash*
The audience watched in horror as Kuki's blade split the young girl in half.
