After disposing of his adversaries with swift and brutal efficiency, Issei shifted his attention towards Ravel, who trembled in fear, pleading for him to stay back. "Don't do anything! You'll regret it!" she stammered, slowly retreating from him.
Ignoring her desperate warnings, Issei advanced steadily, determined to confront her. "Come on, devil girl," he taunted, a challenging glint in his eyes. "Let's see this immortal phoenix fire you're so proud of."
As the tension escalated, a sudden explosion drew Issei's gaze skyward. Akeno, one of his comrades, was hurtling towards the ground, clearly defeated. Although he felt a flicker of concern, Issei couldn't allow his emotions to hinder his actions. Reacting swiftly, he leaped to catch Akeno, easing her fall before placing her gently on the ground.
Akeno couldn't help but feel an unusual sensation in her stomach as Issei held her in a bridal style and called her "angel." Her heart raced, and she couldn't tear her eyes away from his intense gaze.
"You gonna make it, angel?" Issei inquired with genuine concern, further stirring Akeno's emotions.
Incredulous, Akeno found herself asking, "Why did you catch me?" The question held deeper implications, and her curiosity about Issei's intentions only grew.
Amidst the chaos and intense battle, an unspoken connection seemed to form between Issei and Akeno, hinting at a bond that transcended the chaos around them.
Issei retorted with a hint of sarcasm in his voice, "Good question."
Before Akeno could respond, a sudden and powerful explosion engulfed them both. Miraculously, Issei emerged unscathed, though his uniform bore some marks from the blast. Unfortunately, Akeno was now incapacitated.
"Rias's Queen retired," Sona's voice declared over the intercom.
Issei's frustration grew as he identified the source of the explosion. He glared up at Yubelluna, seething with anger. "Are you kidding me?! I only have a few of these uniforms! You're lucky I'm not wearing my jacket right now, you cheap witch!"
Yubelluna landed before Ravel and Issei, speaking for the first time. "I'm impressed you're still standing after that. Did you really defeat the rest of Riser-sama's peerage?"
"Where is that bastard hiding? Enough of this cowardly act! Come out and face me, or I'll take your sister and your queen!" Issei taunted, hoping to goad Riser into confronting him.
Ravel blushed furiously, shaking her head. "Stop saying such things! I'm not some helpless maiden for you to claim!"
"Then prove it, phoenix girl. Show me what you're made of," Issei challenged her.
As Issei tore off his charred shirt, Ravel instinctively stepped back, taken aback by his boldness. Meanwhile, Yubelluna observed silently, her gaze never leaving the shirtless dragon.
Soon, Rias, Gasper, and Koneko rushed over to Issei's location, joining the unfolding scene.
Finally, Riser emerged, landing beside Yubelluna and Ravel, his wings ablaze with fiery power.
"Hyoudou, did you truly take them all down?" Koneko asked, her eyes filled with amazement.
"Riser has grown tired of watching you harass and disrespect his harem. Now, he'll reduce you to ashes!" Riser declared, unleashing a torrent of scorching flames toward Issei, igniting the final stage of their intense battle.
"Burn in the flames of the phoenix!" Riser proclaimed with dramatic flair, unleashing a devastatingly powerful attack that engulfed the entire area in a sea of flames. Gasper tried to shield Rias, Koneko, and himself from the flames, but his fear and nervousness hindered his efforts.
To their horror, Issei stood defiant, taking the full force of Riser's flames for nearly a minute. Riser's relentless assault seemed unending, fueled by his desire to see Issei defeated.
"Die, you annoying fucker!" Riser's enraged voice echoed through the inferno he created.
The surrounding area was bathed in blinding light from the intensity of Riser's attack, and Issei appeared completely consumed by the flames.
However, moments later, a booming voice resonated from within the blaze, exclaiming, "You call this fire?"
From within Riser's inferno, a brilliant red silhouette began to emerge—a winged, shirtless Issei. The sight stunned everyone as they witnessed Issei's transformation, revealing two magnificent red dragon wings and draconic features. Unfazed by the flames, he walked forward, his red aura seemingly devouring the fire as he passed through it.
Yubelluna appeared genuinely disturbed, stammering, "R-Riser-sama?"
Ravel, now filled with terror, urged Riser to act. But the delusional devil remained convinced of his superiority. "Calm yourself, Ravel. This beast may possess brute strength, but he's powerless against the regenerative abilities of a phoenix!" Riser declared confidently.
He lunged at Issei in a futile attempt at close combat, only to have his attack swiftly thwarted. Issei effortlessly sliced off Riser's arm and pierced his chest with ease. Before Riser could react, Issei sent him hurtling into a nearby building with tremendous force. The phoenix flew back from the impact but rapidly regenerated his injuries and regrew his lost limb, determined to continue the fight.
The battle between the shirtless, winged dragon and the fiery phoenix had reached its climax, leaving everyone awestruck by the astonishing display of power and resilience on both sides.
Fear gripped Yubelluna as Issei approached, and she mustered her courage, attempting to attack him with bombs. But to her dismay, her efforts had no effect on the formidable dragon.
Before she could react, Issei had her firmly by the throat, his strength forcing her to her knees, rendering her utterly helpless. He yanked her hair, making her face Riser, who was now approaching them.
"Hey, devil bitch," Issei taunted, "take a good look at Riser Phenex. You won't see him the same way after I'm done with him."
Yubelluna glanced helplessly at Riser while Issei kept her in his grip.
"Tell me, devil girl, what's your name?" Issei inquired, his tone dark and threatening.
For a moment, Yubelluna hesitated, but Issei's tightening grip on her neck compelled her to answer, "Yubelluna."
"Are you afraid right now?" Issei questioned with an ominous edge.
"Y-yes," she responded fearfully.
"Then you're smarter than your master, because anyone with half a brain knows not to anger a dragon!" Issei growled, making her flinch.
"Release my queen, you half-breed filth!" Riser shouted as he attacked Issei with more flames.
