Chapitre 96: Hounded (2)

The Infernal Hound tipped its heads back and howled at the missing moon. Its eyes flashed in the darkness as its sinewy shoulders pulsated with rage. With every breath, its dark, black chest heaved up and down, giving it an even more fearful appearance.

Surrounded by flames, the hellish fiend felt right at home. It flashed its curved white fangs at the Dreamwalker and let out a terrifying growl before bounding across the field like a loose arrow.

Xander had mere seconds to react, but thankfully his heightened reflexes were just quick enough to help him jump over the fiend as it came barreling toward him. The hound's serpentine tails hissed past him as he vaulted over its back and landed behind it.

In the blink of an eye, Xander turned around and slashed at the Infernal's hind legs while it was still recovering.
