Chapitre 40: Sleeping together again

King Liam, though seemingly disinterested in his own meal, watched Selena intently as she ate. His eyes flickered betraying a hint of curiosity and something more, as if he were seeing her in a different light for the first time. The way she handled her fork and knife with elegance and poise captivated him, and he found himself drawn into her world.

As they sat there in silence, the clinking of cutlery against their plates was the only sound that broke the stillness. King Liam found that sitting in this gazebo with Selena, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the aroma of a lavish meal was more comforting than anything in the world. Even the darkness mingling in his heart seemed mellow like it wasn't the same dark seed that tormented his dreams.

"You will have dinner with me," Liam's deep voice broke through the silence startling Selena. Because she was startled she didn't notice that she had a small piece of potato at the corner of her lips.
