Chapitre 179: The Ruthless Wrath Part Five
Wrath and Mr.Chad begin to slowly walk toward each other with serious expressions on their faces. Mr.Chad has his katana in his right hand with his sheath attached to his waist.
"Oh, did the quieter finally decide to grow some balls?" Wrath remarks as he pulls his other katana out of its sheath with his left hand.
"Well, you aren't really giving me much of a choice now; it's either fight you now or have to deal with your bullshit for eternity," Mr.Chad says while scratching the back of his head.
"Hmph, that's assuming you live long enough," Wrath exclaims.
Wrath and Mr.Chad finally come face to face, and both of them grip their katanas tight.
Ever since the start of the four zones, Kenjutsu has been known as an OGI-infused battle between two Kenshi. It only has two rules: no activation of level two powers, and the only form of attack allowed is by the blade, but this Kenjutsu is different. It doesn't follow traditions that have been set and upheld for years; it defies them in every way.
A battle between the man who has abandoned the way of the Kenshi and the man who has set out to destroy it.
On this day, the first of many conflicts between these two anomalies in the history of Kenshi began.
"Kenjutsu!" Wrath and Mr.Chad scream as they both clash blades.
The impact of their katana's power sliced every building surrounding them in half.
As sparks fly off their blades, both fighters try to overpower the other. Wrath looks at Mr.Chad's face and sees a serious expression, but on the other hand, Mr.Chad sees a crazed look in Wrath's eyes.
"I see you grew more than balls! You grew a damn spine as well!" Wrath screams.
Both of them jump away from each other.
"Roc Tempest Talon!" Wrath whispers as he spins his katana in a circular motion.
"Gravity manipulation!"
Mr.Chad swiftly flies into the air while, at the same time, Wrath throws two barrages of air slashes.
"He reacted before I could even start up the attack! His sense technique must be on ten right now!"
As Wrath is thinking, Mr.Chad flies above him and then flies right behind him upside down.
"Shit, I got to focus," Wrath screams.
While still upside down, Mr.Chad swings his katana full force at Wrath's waist.
"Athen Iron Defense!" Wrath yells as he blocks Mr.Chad's attack.
"He stopped the momentum and everything!" Mr.Chad thinks to himself.
Wrath spins around and kicks Mr.Chad to the ground.
Mr.Chad instantly jumps back up and lifts two halves of a building above him with his gravity manipulation.
"You might be strong, but can your skills overcome my powers?" Mr.Chad says in a deep tone.
Mr.Chad slams the two buildings together and throws them both at Wrath.
"Roc Tempest Talon!" Wrath screams as he slices the buildings in half with an air slash.
"You can throw that bullshit all you want; it will never do any—"
As Wrath speaks, he notices Mr.Chad is no longer where he last saw him.
"What the hell!"
Wrath looks down and sees Mr.Chad winding up an attack.
"Shit! That building was a distraction!" Wrath thinks to himself as he jumps back.
Mr.Chad swiftly slashes Wrath on the shoulder and instantly begins to chase him down.
"How does it feel to be the one aggressively attacked, you bastard?" Mr.Chad asks as he continuously swings his blade at Wrath.
Wrath parries off one of Mr.Chad's attacks and then tackles him to the ground.
"Don't get cocky!"
Wrath stabs Mr.Chad in the rib and then drags the katana through his stomach.
The very next second, Wrath gets pulled in closer by Mr.Chad's gravity manipulation before he can get a chance to move away.
"Where do you think you're going?" Mr.Chad asks.
Mr.Chad grabs Wrath by the neck with the flex technique, completely stopping all of his movements.
"You made this battle all about yourself. Well, guess what, buddy, you're now stuck in a cage with me," Mr.Chad says calmly.
Mr.Chad stabs Wrath in the rib and then twists it for added damage.
"Fu—" Wrath exclaims as he spits up blood.
Wrath tries to stab his other katana into Mr.Chad's face but instantly gets avoided by a head tilt.
"Oh yeah, you can take your katana out of my stomach now!" Mr.Chad yells as he pushes Wrath away with gravity.
Wrath lands on his feet and instantly grabs the wound on his stomach.
"What the fuck? Is this really the same lazy bastard who wouldn't stop complaining about how tired he was?" Wrath thinks to himself.
Mr.Chad gets up and starts to slowly walk toward Wrath.
"The way if the Kenshi this. The way of the Kenshi that. All that damn talk about destroying my katana. You're no longer tiring me out."
Mr.Chad starts to roll his right shoulder over and over again with katana in hand.
"All you're doing now is pissing me the fuck off," Mr.Chad says with a cold demeanor.
"His entire demeanor has changed; it is almost like I'm fighting a whole different person. A person I have to take seriously," Wrath thinks to himself as he raises both of his blades in front of his body.
Mr.Chad vanishes and reappears in front of Wrath with accelerate technique.
"Athena Iron Def—"
Wrath blocks Mr.Chad's sword swing but gets knocked back with great force.
"His power increased too! He's even swinging his katana with enough force to break through my Athena's Iron Defense art!"
Wrath drags his feet through the ground to stop himself from flying too far back.
Wrath sends multiple air slashes at Mr.Chad and then closes his eyes.
"Naga Serpent Surge," Wrath says as he closes his eyes.
Mr.Chad weaves out of the way of every air slash, but while he's distracted, Wrath gets in front of him.
"Shit!"
Wrath slashes Mr.Chad on the chest and then continues attacking relentlessly.
"His eyes are closed; that must mean he's using the Naga Serpent Surge. He's in a complete state of focus; almost nothing will get past him," Mr.Chad thinks to himself as he defends against all of Wrath's attacks.
In his complete focus state, Wrath rushes forward, swings his blade at Mr.Chad, and when he misses, stabs his blade into the ground.
Wrath spins around on the handle of his katana and slams both of his feet into Mr.Chad's chest with the flex technique.
Mr.Chad does a backflip and lands on his feet after taking the full brunt force of Wrath's attack.
"You've got to be kidding me," Mr.Chad says with an annoyed expression.
Mr.Chad sees Wrath directly in front of him and swings his katana at his head frantically.
With his eyes still closed, Wrath clashes with Mr.Chad twice, headbutts him in the noise, and then punches him in the throat.
"How long can you last in that focused state, you son of a bitch?" Mr.Chad asks as he slashes Wrath's left thigh.
Mr.Chad flies back with his gravity manipulation, but then Wrath opens his eyes and, with the accelerate technique, instantly chases down Mr.Chad.
"Come back here, you quieter!" Wrath exclaims.
"Finally done with that art, huh?"
Mr.Chad lands on the ground and stands his ground.
"Phoenix Ember Wing!" Wrath shouts as both of his katanas get a blaze.
"Ha, you're actually going to fight me head-on! I knew something was different about you from earlier!" Wrath exclaims in excitement as he rushes into combat.
With his blades coated in flames, Wrath spins multiple times, getting blocked multiple times, but leaves multiple flaming cuts on Mr.Chad's body.
"Rahhh!"
Wrath stops spinning, and with his blades still coated in flames, Wrath leaves two burning slashes on the left side of his torso.
"Ahhh! That hurt like hell!" Mr.Chad exclaims in pain.
The flames on Wrath's blades dissipate, and instantly Mr.Chad goes on the offensive.
Mr.Chad punches Wrath in the face with the flex technique so hard that blood starts spilling from his forehead.
"Hurry up and fall already!" Mr.Chad screams.
Mr.Chad attempts to sweep Wrath's legs, but Wrath jumps to avoid it.
"I'll never fall! Until the way of the Kenshi parishes from existent!" Wrath screams with a determined look in his eyes.
"How many times do I have to say it? I quit that life! Go bother someone who gives a fuck!" Mr.Chad yells with an infuriated expression.
Wrath and Mr.Chad clash blades, and the impact is so strong everyone in Grava City can feel the clash of OGI.
Wrath and Mr.Chad clash blades again, again, and again, with each clash building in intensity.
"I'm a disgrace to Kenshi, I know..."Mr.Chad says with a serious expression.
Mr.Chad dodges two sword attacks and, with the flex technique applied, slams his elbow onto Wrath's forehead wound.
"But I'll be damned to have someone like you lecture me on how I should live my life!" Mr.Chad exclaims with a ferocious expression on his face.
After hearing the words of Mr.Chad Wrath hears words from a mysterious old man.
"She is not worthy of that title! It is her fault for being born the way she is!" the mysterious old man says in a grumpy tone.
After remembering these words, Wrath catches his breath and then grits his teeth.
"I don't care about your damn values or wherever you're in life right now. I'm going to take that katana and destroy it. I don't care if I have to take it off your decaying body!" Wrath screams with an intense demeanor.
Wrath rushes at Mr.Chad, and instantly both of the blades on his katanas start to split into five wavy blades.
"Kitsune Midnight Mirage!" Wrath whispers.
The second Mr.Chad sees Wrath activate the technique, he begins to use his sense technique at full blast and starts looking at the splitting blades carefully.
"There are only two katanas; the other ones are mirages. I have to just find which one is which!" Mr.Chad thinks to himself as he starts jumping back.
Wrath uses the accelerate technique and gets in front of Mr.Chad.
"Now fall!" Wrath shouts aggressively as swings his left katana.
"There!" Mr.Chad screams in his head.
Mr.Chad sees through the illusion of the Kitsune Midnight Mirage art and blocks Wrath's attack.
"Tch! Oh, so now you can see through that technique? It doesn't matter; my skill still surpasses yours! Athena Iron Defense!"
Wrath redirects Mr.Chad's katana's tip to the ground with his katana over it.
"Oh shit, I know this setup!" Mr.Chad exclaims.
"Artemis Lunar Veil!"
After screaming the art, Wrath drags his left katana up Mr.Chad's katana and slashes his chest and nose.
"Damn, I barely missed the vitals!" Wrath says as he jumps back.
Mr.Chad raises the rubble around him with his gravity manipulation and starts shooting them all at Wrath.
Wrath begins slicing apart the rubble flawlessly with both of his katanas.
"Let's stop with those weak attacks now," Wrath says as he gets into a focused expression as he crosses his katanas in an x shape.
"Hermes Zypher!"
Within the blink of an eye and one step, Wrath suddenly appears behind Mr.Chad.
Suddenly four x-shaped slashes appear all over Mr.Chad's body.
Mr.Chad falls to both of his knees as blood floods out of his wounds.
"Shit, I couldn't even see that attack coming! Fuck, I don't think I got anything left in my tank. If I want to live, I'll need to—"
"No amount of planning will do anything for you," Wrath says as he stands over Mr.Chad.
"Have you ever heard of a quick break tryhard?" Mr.Chad says as he pushes Wrath back with gravity.
"Ha, you always got that gravity manipulation to rely on!" Wrath exclaims as he lands on his feet.
Mr.Chad slowly stands up with blood leaking all over his katana.
"Damn, I knew fighting a feared legend would be hard, but damn, I want to go to sleep. Well, I'm almost out of OGI, so I might as well use something worth talking about." Mr.Chad whispers to himself.
Mr.Chad begins to wave his hand over his katana.
"Gravity infusion," Mr.Chad whispers.
Mr.Chad begins to infuse constantly shifting gravity around his katana, creating a flowy see-through cloud around it.
"Oh, I see you're ready to end this fine. I'll treat you with the same respect," Wrath remarks as he puts his katana behind his head with his right foot pointed out.
Wrath and Mr.Chad face each other with their strongest attacks ready.
"This is the first and strongest Kenshi art created. It's what started this cursed culture—an attack that can be powerful enough to slice through the earth." Wrath says in a serious tone.
"You don't think I know that I was taught about the arts too. To put it simply, I don't care; I'm ending this now!" Wrath says with a serious expression.
Mr.Chad and Wrath begin to walk forward slowly, but then both of them start rushing toward each other at great speed.
"Universal Slash!" Mr.Chad screams with a fierce expression as he swings his blade forward.
"Atlas Tremor!" Wrath shouts with a savage look in his eyes as he swings his blade directly in front of him.
The very second the two anomalies of the Kenshi world clash, a giant hurricane of clashing OGi so powerful stretches to above the city.
"Rahhh!!!" Wrath and Mr.Chad roar as their power clashes.
The part of the city where the two fighters clash explodes, leaving a huge crater.
On the left of the crater, Mr.Chad is laid out on the ground with hundreds of deep cuts all over his body.
"Damn it, this is so tiring I can't even move my body. Did I break my legs or something? I just want to take a nap already." Mr.Chad says to himself with an exhausted expression.
"Well, it looks like we finally have a winner."
Mr.Chad looks to his left and sees Wrath standing over him with a dead-blank stare and countless injuries.
"Oh great, you're still standing," Mr.Chad says as he sees Wrwth lift his katana over his head.
"I didn't even pull out everything in my arsenal, you fool. You couldn't beat me anyway now; like I said, I will be taking that katana off of your decaying corpse," Wrath says as he swings his blade downward.
"Gravity push."
Suddenly, Wrath gets blown into the sky and then gets blown far away from the area.
"What the hell! This son of a bitch, he's using his gravity manipulation to send me flying away from him. He caught me off guard too; there's no way I can fight back against it now!"
Wrath looks below him and notices something.
"He's sending me out of the damn city! You coward, I can't believe I thought you were a competent person!" Wrath screams in anger.
As he goes flying through the sky, Wrath hears an old man say something on his head.
No matter what, we must follow the Kenshi way! No matter the cost! That is the only way we can keep our self-respect for our culture!" The old man says with a deep tone.
As Wrath remembers these words, Wrath grits his teeth, and blood vessels start to bulge out of his head.
"I don't give a shit about that! I'll destroy it all! You included you lazy bum! We will meet again, I'm sure of it, and when we do that, Katana will be in flames! And for you, you will be six feet under," Wrath yells as he gets sent flying out of Grava City.
On the other hand, Mr.Chad is still laid out in the same place, struggling to move.
"Damn, it looks like I got a target on my back now. So tiring. That was my last ounce of OGI I just used. I'm going to sleep. Hopefully, when I wake up, this whole situation will finally be over," Mr.Chad says as he begins to doze off.
The Kenjutsu between the two anomalies of the Kenshi world ends with an undecided victor. It was clear who was stronger in the end, but it is obvious that the next time they meet face-to-face, the result will not be the same.
