Deva Path said, "Both of you, engage him at full power. Do not hold back. I must free those two."
Kisame and Itachi nodded. Deva Path began to rise into the air. Just as Jiryoku intended to intercept Deva Path, he was halted by Itachi. Itachi appeared in front of Jiryoku, this time employing the Rib Cage version of Susanoo. He struck Jiryoku with it. Although Jiryoku easily defended against the attack, he was pulled in the direction where Kisame was.
Kisame had been waiting for this opportunity. He promptly utilized the 'Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave,' resulting in the formation of a massive water wave. Jiryoku, due to the force from Susanoo's hand, was propelled into the water. As soon as he entered the water, Kisame employed the 'Water Prison Shark Dance Technique.' Gradually, all the water gathered in one location, forming what appeared from the outside to be a large bubble of water.
Within the water, Jiryoku floated, with Kisame positioned in front of him. One of Kisame's hands was covered by Samehada. He had merged with Samehada, causing his entire body to take on a shark-like appearance.
"Welcome to my domain. Now, you cannot escape this water prison that I have created," Kisame proclaimed, launching an attack on Jiryoku with incredible speed. However, Jiryoku effortlessly evaded Kisame's assaults. The reason was simple: he had generated a slight gravitational field around himself, rendering him unaffected by Kisame's attacks.
Kisame's attacks were diverse; each time he approached Jiryoku from a different direction, spikes grew from his body, aiming to pierce or at least slightly injure Jiryoku. However, due to Jiryoku's 'Armament Haki,' he remained completely unaffected.
"I acknowledge that while this water prison isn't functioning as I initially anticipated, I can at the very least confine you here until you suffocate. This time, I have the authorization to kill, so I will ensure you suffocate to death," Kisame declared, accompanied by a cruel smile.
"You're right; this water is your domain, granting you a significant advantage beyond what you'd normally have on the ground. By the way, have you ever heard the saying 'a fish drowned in water'? It might sound paradoxical and ridiculous, but I'll illustrate how it's possible, with you as the fish," Jiryoku retorted, pointing his sword toward Kisame and activating '20x Gravity.'
Instantly, as a result of Jiryoku's action, the water took on the shape of a bubble, creating a cylindrical hole about 20 meters deep and 5 meters in diameter above it. Kisame, who had been laughing, ceased abruptly. His expression contorted with pain, and he struggled to move.
"Seems you've forgotten that you're battling someone who can manipulate gravity. Due to this manipulation, three adverse effects have befallen you. First, your weight has increased. Second, the water's density has risen, making it difficult for you to float—you'll keep sinking. And third, the weight of the water above you has surged dramatically. Let's assume the original weight of the water above you was around 100 kilograms; now it's almost 2000 kilograms," Jiryoku explained calmly, effortlessly emerging from the water prison.
Kisame recognized the impossibility of his survival if this continued. He would be crushed to death, despite his substantial physical strength. Thus, Kisame dispelled the jutsu, causing the water to disperse and vanish. However, the water above and below Kisame remained, creating the illusion that he was ensnared within a cylindrical container filled with water.
Unperturbed by Kisame, Jiryoku swiftly moved. He aimed to acquire the spheres containing the Paths of Pain. As he reached the same altitude as the Deva Path, he realized that the Deva Path had already obliterated both spheres using the concentrated attacks of the 'Almighty Push.'
Upon seeing Jiryoku, the Deva Path addressed him, saying, "I offer you another chance: join the Akatsuki, and I will spare your life."
Jiryoku scoffed at the proposition. "Who do you think you're fooling? Letting me live? Someone like me is well aware of your abilities, your so-called Paths of Pain. Uttering such words is a direct challenge to my intelligence and wit, a blatant display of disrespect."
With these words, Jiryoku launched an assault on the Deva Path using his sword, executing the "Gravity Blade: Raging Tiger" technique.
"Facing a god, you are insignificant. I am the one destined to bring peace to this world," asserted the Deva Path.
Raising his hand, the Deva Path commanded, "Begone, Almighty Push."
The force behind this Almighty Push was formidable. It dissipated Jiryoku's attack and directly struck his body, propelling him to the ground like a meteor. The impact was so intense that dust enveloped the area, obscuring vision.
Deva Path descended to the ground as well, muttering, "It will take me at least two minutes to regain my abilities."
The Naraka Path summoned the King of Hell, and both the Asura Path and the Animal Path were revived.
Jiryoku cleared the debris from his body with a punch and emerged, with only half of his body still covered. A few drops of his blood fell to the ground, yet even these traces were swiftly obliterated by smaller Katsuyu emerging from the earth.
At this time Itachi opened his Mangekyo and used, "Amaterasu!" On Jiryoku.
