Chapitre 83: Surprise her

Declan had been staring at his phone for a while since he had sent Mia a message, and she hadn't replied. He wasn't bothered by the fact that she wasn't replying on time, but he was eager to know her response. The message he sent was unlike their casual ones; he had made it a bit romantic. Since she had confessed to liking romance, he thought a romantic message might be a way to her heart. He was planning on starting with text messages.

"Mr. Stone gathered more of the shareholders today, sir. It was supposed to be secretive, but I learned from one of my friends in the office," Stan informed him.

Declan groaned, hating the fact that he hadn't dealt with this issue yet. He knew something was off about the whole situation, but he had no idea what it was. "What about Liam?"

"He wasn't part of the meeting."

That was suspicious. Why would the main candidate not be involved in the process? "Did you get any information on what the meeting was about?"
