What drew him in, was not the melody, as brilliant as it seems to be. Anyone can write a catchy melody, but to create an electronic song without vocals, and still have it sound complete, should be impossible. The fact that this song pulled it off as successfully as it did, almost made him want to bow down and worship the artist.
Having been in the electronic music fanbase for many years, Huang Liangqing had long since become familiar with the conventions of the genre, and he watched first-hand the rise of the genre from obscurity to the tyrant it was today.
But hearing such a unique song almost made him doubt everything he ever thought he knew about the genre.
