Chapitre 34: Dennis
"What do you want me to do with these sweets?" I asked. As we reached inside the palace walls.
"I don't know?" She said, she already has 2 bags of snacks from what I can see. I don't know why she bothered to buy more.
"I think we should give them to the soldiers. so that they can enjoy them. I am already full or I would have eaten them." she said after thinking for a moment.
"All of them?" How could she eat all of the sweets and snacks; she is so tiny where would all the food fit?
Sighing, I stood there waiting for her to take the sweets away and start giving them to the soldiers.
But she stood staring at me.
"What are you waiting for?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
"What do you mean?" I asked, I have yet to open the scroll and learn about the shadow. I have to make a plan to catch him.
But here I am standing with this little witch.
"Do mean that I should hand them out to the soldiers, do you not see that my hands are full?" Who does she think she is? A princess?
Wanting me to abide by her commands as if I was her slave.
Even if she didn't know who I am how is she ordering me around, a man twice her size?
Her attitude sure is something that is boggling my mind.
I stopped a soldier walking past us.
"Distribute these sweets among the soldiers," I ordered the soldier who took the tray of sweets from me. But didn't leave, he stood staring at the little witch and asked me, "Who is this beautiful lady you are with kalo? Do introduce me." he said standing close to me.
I almost forgot that I was wearing a disguise spell charm. It was specifically made to make me look like Kalo.
I wore it before I met with the woman the whisper sent.
I narrowed my eyes on the little witch.
She recognized me while I was looking totally different. She didn't even ask me any questions about my disguise.
Maybe she is used to it because she is a witch.
"Hello, I am Thea, I am the new apprentice in the tower." she introduced herself to the soldier when I was taking too long to introduce her.
"It is nice to meet you, Thea, I am Dennis." he turned to me, "Is there something of the matter kalo, that you are distributing sweets?" he asked, raising his eyebrows in a suggestive way.
"I am the one who brought the sweets," she interjected.
"I was just wondering what happened to the grumpy kalo. I should have known It was the work of the beautiful lady." the soldier shamelessly flirted with her.
They both laughed at my expense.
"I'll take my leave. See you later Dennis," she said skipping along the path to the tower to her quarters.
I stood transfixed by the way she moved.
"It is time for your rounds," I said glaring at the soldier.
