Chapitre 480: 39. She Bangs.

That was an experience I could have done without, of course, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and I could stand more and more of it. I was now excited about the wing project, which I was told had taken a leap forward in my absence and I would get to see how my vision had actually come to fruition.

In some houses, the wings themselves were complete, and all the furniture was just not in place. Then I got an additional idea of what could be put in our wings, namely vending machines. There are pizza vending machines, doughnut vending machines, and, of course, these machines where you can put coins into a roll or a bag of crisps. We could use real coins or get custom-made tokens from somewhere.

My ideas took off as I shared them with Mirella and Mimosa, also with Adam and Charles, though Charles had been quite strict about what he allowed us to eat so he would want to go through what would go into those wending machines. He was now a pack leader, and he took his role quite seriously from time to time. He did not even see Bran as a pack member. He was the boss, and he made the decisions.

But after a couple of weeks of recovery and work, I got a tip from some flea hunters about Sark's work, so I thought a little work wouldn't hurt. My dark finder radar had been active for a few days, flashing before my eyes, making my hunting instincts surface and so I knew that I had my chance, and a good one, that is. Damon had gone away, Adam and Charles were on gigs, Bran wasn't in the same house, and Samuel was at his clinic, so it was just the three of us girls.

When I told Mimosa and Mirella about the Sark, neither of them had any problem with me going to work for a bit. I did not say anything about the pack leader, even though that had been the wise thing to do and it might have led to a whole different outcome, but no, my mind doesn't just work always so wisely.

It was easy to manipulate, or I thought it was more like persuading Mimosa and Mirella to stay out of this. I did not say anything about the fleas because I knew that Rob was around and Adam, Charles, and Magnum were all on flea missions so my little plan would have been uncovered and they have stopped me.

Girls would be reliable. They would take care of the wings, though, and I had told them so much about my own wishes that my stories were the easiest to put right. The most challenging was Mimosa's because my wolf decided to change her mind at least three times every day about something.

I had made my folder where I had chosen materials, color palette, furniture, and all of the important stuff and it was given to our contractions so I was confident that my floors would be perfect and I had given them enough to my preferences that even if they would have to improvise a little, those would be just perfect. I had learned to trust the visions of others, too.

I then started to plan a little chase operation. I had had the fleas gather information about such a replication spell. The spell would make new sark when old ones die, so it had given me the idea, and that idea was that I would not kill the sark; I would just cripple him enough to make him harmless. Maybe a decent brain injury that he doesn't understand how to kill himself could be in place, and then I would be free of him.

As long as there would always be a sick or disabled sark that would prevent a more efficient one from coming in to replace him, it would be fine. It would become my one project. Watch Sark and see that it is controlled. I was a brain surgeon and even I used to save people. I could use my skills to make him as intelligent as a boot, keep him locked up in an institution, and that was it.

Then I started to go around a bit. I picked up a black Jag from a car shop and set off to spy on Sark. I found him easily and knew how to stay hidden. I had put fleas just before making big strikes against his financiers, so he had some troubles and he had to try to find some way to deal with this little money problem. Oh, that was good to watch and see if there was any routine to this, anything that would make it fucking easy to catch and capture and handle.

Now I knew Damon wasn't right for this because he does kill. He needs to kill his victim. But not me. If there could have been a way to find reliable where the next sark would wake up, maybe then I could have given him a few sarks to play with, but I needed this to work. As far as I knew, Sark was the worst who was after me, so I was going now after the big boss himself. Lesser threats would be so much easier to deal with.

I can stand to watch Sark suffer for decades. I don't know if this kind of magic ends in natural death or if the witch or wizard who controls this magic has to or if this is some ancient spell that can't be undone and just has to be endured. And why is this only affecting Sark?

I did not have much knowledge about magic or spells and I did not have time to learn much yet. I could not ask too many pointed questions to Dresden or Constantine because they were sharp guys and knew about my radar. They would have gotten a whiff of my idea. I don't; I don't think he is the only one in his family. You could try killing someone close to him and see if they come back to life, but it's not quite time for that yet. Now is the time to stalk and plan.

After a month of stalking, I had built a treatment area where I would carefully put Mr. Sark in a state where he would be completely harmless. I was a doctor, and I knew exactly what to do. He would not be my only victim. My radar had shown whiffs of three other ones and oh my god I wanted to unleash my revenge on them. Damon or Damien had inspired me with a few of my contraptions, as well. I had more or less a little torture shed done to their processing.

My shed was ready, and dealing with Sark would be quite fast. My minor operation, three dental substances, and my instruments were ready and the operation would be done in less than an hour. And then I would be free to hunt my actual victims. These I could process quite a lot longer.

As I was preparing the very last things for the whole little operation and I drove up to my treatment house, I was surprised to see a Mr. Salvatore leaning against the door of the little house and looking at me with a look that would make me explain quite effectively or I could get pissed, so to speak. He was not happy with me, not in the slightest, but I was on the prowl, so to speak, and now I had to make him go away.

I got out of the car and completely controlled myself. It's important to bluff and be confident in a situation like this. I had my bags with me and, a few things to prepare for my three victims. Now, all I had to do was be a flea and show that vampire that I actually knew what I was doing.

Damon straightened up and said in a quiet voice. "You must have a really brilliant plan, baby, but I can assure you, you won't be able to pull it off." He gazed at me, his eyes cold and arctic as ice.

After saying that, he came over to me, looked me hard in the eye, and said, "Really, Mimi? What the hell are you doing here? I went to your little house, and that's my wife's dear, almost a little shed. Who are you bringing there, and what are you doing to them, right? "

As he leaned over me, I took a step back and kept my voice steady, said, " Do you want to hear an explanation out here, or can we go inside and discuss this? This is Damon, my project and even if your instincts or whatever say otherwise, this is not something I will let you get involved in. "

Damon looked at me with a raised eyebrow and said, "Oh really, Mimi? You won't let me interfere. Now let me tell you something. You are not going to torture anyone to death. Do you understand? Is that clear? " He was on edge, passionfruit whiff was in the air, this is darling side and I could almost feel his need to give me flank. now I had to be really smart.

I nodded and said, "Fine, let's do this out here, then. My idea is to get Sark out of the picture, more or less permanently. Damon, I've been trying to gather information from this multiplication magic and what it does. One thing is that there's always one Sark left alive. And when it dies, the next one comes back to life. And it could be born anywhere, there is, or I haven't found yet to backtrack where next would be born."

Damon relaxed, but only slightly, not much. He was impatient, so I carried on.

"But the magic doesn't say anything about what condition Sark has to be in, you understand. I'm going to get a Sark, and I'm a doctor, so I know how to hurt. And I'm gonna put Mr. Sark in a permanent state, where he's completely harmless, but he can't kill himself. I can allow Mr. Sark to live if it guarantees that the wiser one won't be born."

Damon looked at me for a moment and smiled. "Someone is beginning to evolve, I see. Well thought out, Mimi. I have a few questions, though, for a start. The first one is But what if Sark has accomplices that heal him with, say vampire blood? Or by some other means?"

I was silent and tried to keep my poker face. I had taken that into account too. So I said, "I didn't say I'd set him free, did I? I have my fleas, and they know of establishments where you can conveniently forget and where they don't ask stupid questions. As you can see, I have everything under control. Once I get the sark out of the way, I move on to my other victims, and then I always wonder whether I'll let him live. They will get rougher treatment than Sark, so much rougher."

My voice was now oozing danger or something, which made Damon frown again. He looked at me piercingly.

Damon said, "I'm serious. You don't torture humans to death, you understand. Not a single person. Have I made myself clear?"

His voice was dark, authoritative, and dominant, all at once. The voice that said, Obey me.

I nodded and said, "I'm not talking about any human being, my husband. No, no, I have a few vampires that get to face the flea, and they know why. These are not your vampires, not at all. Let's just say a little personal grudge. But that is none of your business, Damon, so that you can go. As you can see, I'm fine, and I have a plan, and it's all going to work out. "

Damon looked at me for a moment and said, " Who are you after, Mr. Sark, to go after Mimi? Tell me, and why? What is this personal grudge? You know, I might be interested too in such victims. You know what I can do and I can kill vampires too, painfully too."

I was silent. My targets were Spike, Drusilla, and Angelus, but I wasn't going to tell Damon because then I would have been told the whole thing, and I didn't want to. Damon looked at me and obviously read my mind. He did not get the names of my victims, only that I was not willing to share, not at this moment.

He turned around and walked to his car. He knew my place and he would likely monitor my place once I had dealt with Mr. Sark and then he might come if I managed to get those three. But That worry was for the future. The first business, that is dealing with Mr. Sark, and then the pleasure, of getting those three. And start to have fun.

He said in my mind, " Good luck with the chase, Mimi. I'd like to be there, but you're right. I always want to kill."

I watched as my husband drove away and wondered for a moment as I went inside, why it was so hard for me to trust anyone and tell them about my experiences. Why can't I take the entire pack to Lake Lanier and show them everything? Why? That's my favorite question these days. But I was ready to get on with my not-so-kind plan for several victims, too. I had had enough of playing good girl and let it go. My sense of justice demanded something to be done and for good, too.
