Annalise shifted in her sleep, trying to make herself more comfortable. Her foot slipping out of the blanket woke her out of her sleep.
She was greeted by the sight of the tent cover and behind it was the shadow of the fire she had started. The fire still appeared big which meant Rafael had thrown more wood on it while she was sleeping.
Annalise couldn't remember when she had fallen asleep and if she had come to the tent herself to rest. She barely remembered eating a bit of her food and the rest was a mystery from then on.
Annalise stared at the fire and listened to the sounds coming from outside. From the insects that just couldn't help making their presence known and the faint noises coming from the horses. The fire was the loudest, but she enjoyed the crackling noise as the wood burned.
