Chapitre 10: Combat Classes Begin
In the Combat Room...
"Good day to you all. I'm Mr Stylianos, your combat class instructor." A black haired man introduced himself "The first thing we are going to be learning today is on Punch and Blocks. Ah, before I forget, abilities are not to be used in combat classes. If you are caught, you will be banned from attending the classes. Yes, Haris?"
"Sir, are weapons allowed?" A petite boy asked
"Weapons are not allowed for now but later on you will begin to integrate them into your classes." Mr Stylianos replied "That reminds me. Orpheus, please can you drop your chained blades at the back of the room to prevent scaring the students"
"I'm sorry sir, but I cannot" Orpheus replied
Meanwhile, on hearing the name chained blades, something clicked in Sara's head
~Hmm, chained blades, Orpheus? That's it! He's the 19-year old boy. To think he schools here of all places~ Sara smiles inwardly
"Orpheus, listen to the instructor and do what he says" a magus yelled
"Yeah, just because you have some cool weapons doesn't give you some authority"
"The whole room suddenly flared up as everyone pestered Orpheus to give up his chained blades. Orpheus, tired of the noise, immediately took out his chained blades and covered them in purple mist.
"If y'all don't want to end up like Marios, I suggest you mind your business" he snarled making everyone to back up a bit.
"C'mon, it's only him against all of us. I refuse to believe he can take us all at once" someone in the room said, raising everyone's spirit.
"Actually, it's two of us" Sara walked out of the crowd and stood beside Orpheus, igniting another outburst
"Does the new girl know the late bloomer?"
"How would we know?"
"That doesn't matter. We'll take her down with him"
"Hey Sara, don't butt in" Orpheus said after seeing her walk up to him "You'll get hurt"
"My conscience wouldn't let me. Plus, I owe you" Sara said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Orpheus raised his brows
"The lighting gem you gave me provided money to pay for my sick mother's medical bills"
"Oh, if you say so"
In the meantime, Kers watched the scene from behind the mob and began to wonder how Sara was acquainted with Orpheus.
"Thalia, I'm going in" Kers began to walk towards Orpheus.
"Kers, Kers. Shit! Now I have to follow her" Thalia cursed inwardly before running after Kers.
"What?! Why are Kers and Thalia helping them" someone said on sighting Kers and Thalia walking toward Orpheus making everyone to panic
"Now even Thanatos and Hypnos are walking towards them"
"Shit! I'm not ready to die yet"
Orpheus on seeing a number of people come to his aid, became very confused as he was not acquainted with any of them.
[You're pretty special you know. Having four of the strongest juniors in the academy to help you out]
'I'm not. Thanatos and Hypnos probably came to aid their little sister while Thalia is just following Kers. As for Kers' reason, I absolutely do not know'
[Exactly, special]
'How badly do you want me to be special'
"Okay now, everybody stop!" Mr Stylianos ordered instantly stopping the commotion "Whether or not Orpheus wants to give up his blades is none of your business. And Orpheus, you can now put the blades way"
"Yes sir" Orpheus immediately put his blades back into his shadow
"Now, let us move on. As I said earlier, we will only be focusing on Punches and Blocking." Mr Stylianos said
While Mr Stylianos was speaking, Thanatos moved closer to Kers.
"Hey sis" he said in a hushed tone
"Yeah?"
"What is so special about that guy that you're helping him?"
"Oh, about that. I couldn't foresee his death, so I'm trying to find out why"
"What! But he's a human right?"
"Yes, at least that is what I know"
"Have you told mum and dad?"
"They're always busy, you know that"
"Okay, but..."
"THANATOS!! What did I say last?" Mr Stylianos yelled
"I don't know. Hehehe" Thanatos chuckled nervously
"You fool! Stop causing a nuisance in my class or I'm going to report you to your master" Mr Stylianos threatened, making the colour to drain from Thanatos' face
"I'm sorry sir, I won't speak again"
"Good" Mr Stylianos smiled "Let's continue. As I was saying, when throwing a punch, you face your foot in the direction of the target and draw power from your hips with your legs spread out.
Now, each person should pick a sparring partner and practice the block and the punch. Orpheus, you're my partner"
[Like I said, special]
'Shut up'
Orpheus walked over to the instructor with a little bit of hesitation.
'I wanted him to be my partner since I know no other person' Sara muttered inwardly
"Hey pair with me" Kers interrupted her thoughts
"Umm, sure

"Now I want you to practice what I said. Punch with all your might" Mr Stylianos told Orpheus
Orpheus nodded his head and took his stance. Following Mr Stylianos' instructions, Orpheus threw out a punch to Mr Stylianos who raised his hands to parry it.
