Mary smirked as she knew she would not be followed. She had taken a secret path that no one knew about.

She only knew about it because Nicholas used this path to stalk Renee. In the garden, he used to stare at her while she talked to plants discreetly.

Who in their right mind would talk to plants? The scenes were exaggerated too much but it felt so heartwarming.

"At least they came in handy." She chuckled as she turned to the left.

She was not intending to worry about the maids since she knew they were tasked with keeping an eye on her. But looking at their face full of disdain, Mary was not in the mood to play a good girl.

Let them suffer a bit to understand she was going to stay here for a while and they have to listen to her commands.
