"Vanished?" Ronald de Regulus frowned, yet a part of her was no longer surprised by the result of this matter. In just a year, three people who betrayed Evelynn somehow disappeared. Was it truly a coincidence?

"I have talked to his butler; sadly, I was not able to find any information. However, letters still arrived in the Duchy. Since that incident, no one had actually seen the Duke," Soren said. "I failed you."

"There is no need to think about this matter again," Ronald spoke. "The preparations are on their way. We shall proceed with the original plan."

Soren nodded. "I await your instructions." With that, Soren left the throne room. Not long after, the Duchess of Valtara's arrival was announced. The Emperor quickly asked his attendant to let the Duchess in.
