Chapitre 43: Chapter 43: identity

It was in the middle of the night. At such a time, most of the women in the tribe were long gone to sleep. Only the selected few to guard the tribe's perimeter were still awake. However, another person other than the hunters woke up that night.

It was, of course, Alexander.

Sleeping in Myuri's arms, Alexander felt a warmth and joy that he had long forgotten. Sleeping in those arms brought him joy, yet it also brought him sadness and guilt.

Because he knew deep down that this happiness did not actually belong to him. It was meant to be someone else's; however, he had taken that person's place and identity as his own. Now he parades around her village with a name and title meant for her.

Such thoughts haunted Alexander.
