Grace’s POV

“I can’t believe that I’m the leader of this coven now,” I sighed, having found myself a chair to launch in next to Carter. He glanced up, but before he could say anything, Ned spoke.

“And I can’t believe that the houses aren’t made from gingerbread and candy,” he muttered as he walked over, sounding almost disappointed. He smacked Carter over the head and although the younger beta grumbled, he moved over so Ned could sit. You couldn’t tell by looking at them, but the two betas actually loved each other like brothers. They would tease and taunt each other ALL the time, but the second there was an issue that needed to be resolved, they stood together and almost acted like one unit.

It was scary to see sometimes…

“How do we get a coven of witches to join our pack?” Asked Ned and without anyone telling him to, Carter put down his book and peered up at me.
