“And thank you, Mr. Herrmann,” she continued, turning to the Master and giving him a grateful smile. “A warm bath sounds like heaven.”

“Chris, please! I insist,” he smirked, and like a true gentleman took her hand and placed a soft kiss on it. “And you’re most welcome.”

My wolf growled, not liking that he had his fangs that close to her veins. Or at least that was what I kept telling myself. Because the alternative was out of the question! There was no way I could be jealous of him getting to kiss her. Getting to put his hands on her without---

I spun around and headed to the room the vampire had pointed me toward. I dropped my backpack on the floor and headed straight to the shower.

I needed a bath!

I was going to get clean, wash up and then leave. I had no business being here. Fuck this! Alpha or not, Grace didn’t need me. I’d survived a separation before, I’d do it again! But sensing my plans my wolves became agitated and lashed out.
