Chapitre 119: Making Others' Work Difficult Unintentionally

The schedule for the upcoming major events my village was going to focus on was very clear.

In a month, Tsunade would use the abilities of the Devil Fruit she had decided to take to create a green zone in Sunagakure and give them land that, if properly cared for, would slowly take territory away from the desert around it. She would also be able to claim the barrels of alcohol that were so kindly prepared "voluntarily" for her.

This would be an effort that would take generations, many generations indeed, but it was perfectly possible as long as they didn't give up, thanks to specially cultivated seeds with strong resilience.

She might secretly return to Konoha to take some splinters (or whole beams) from the wood with which the oldest part of the Senju clan is built... with Tsunade's permission, of course.

In fact, according to her, the only reason she didn't set the place on fire when she left is because the wood would resist it, and as long as Mito's seals are there, Konoha won't be able to make use of the HUGE land occupied by its complex in any way unless they want to launch a total assault just to reclaim it.

Although I think she simply has nostalgia, I see no problem in her logic.

At the end of the day, Konoha loses.

Although I wonder how things have developed there since I "recruited" Tsunade and Shizune...

In two months, the meeting of... the three Kages will take place?

Let's go with that. The meeting of the three Kages, namely: Me, Temari, and A.

According to what Pakura told me, Temari would have enough time to change people's perception of her so that her public appointment would happen in less than three months. However, the higher-ups would already know that she would be secretly appointed Kazekage in just over a month, a few days after Tsunade does her part and, therefore, gains the approval of many key people.

In summary, Temari will be officially appointed Kazekage in secret and won't be able to exercise her position publicly until another public ceremony takes place, but she will already have the authority to start making decisions and representing Sunagakure at the meeting.

Naturally, she will be allowed to bring two additional people for security during the journey and try to attract as little attention as possible.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the two people accompanying Temari were Chiyo or Ebizo. No matter how much Temari's strength grows thanks to my Devil Fruit, the point is that she lacks the political experience to handle someone who has been in the position for years like the Raikage or who thinks differently like me. Besides, they will be her advisers, so there is no problem with their presence.

It's as if the Raikage brought Mabui with him, it's almost guaranteed from what I know about them, although I'm curious to know who the second person will be.

Will they bring the woman who ate the Bara Bara fruit to intimidate?

I still wonder if she'll give it to someone known from the series or if it will be someone unknown.

Of course, I doubt that Killer B will be a companion since his jinchuriki status is well known, but Yugito... is more discreet and a remote possibility.

The issue that has been giving me headaches lately is where to hold the meeting once the two-month deadline is up.

Why not on my Sky Island!

Its existence and mysterious location guarantee a safe point for the people I care about, and I'm not going to reveal it to allies, who knows what could happen.

That makes me think, I should work on some kind of anti-Zetsu field or something. I don't want the spores it can use to end up discovering the place if it somehow stains someone's team from the village. I suppose I could use the crystal sphere that Pakura stole from the Third Hokage's office and come up with something, but I would need samples of a Zetsu to indicate what things it reacts to.

But let's get back to the issue at hand.

Logically speaking, if we want to find a midpoint geographically, then it should be somewhere in the Land of Fire, like Tanzaku Quarters.

But I think it would be quite complicated to be discreet about it!

It's not that Konoha is too far away, and I don't think they've lowered their guard yet.

If we stay closer to Sunagakure, then we might be on Akatsuki's (Zetsu's) radar due to the proximity to the Land of Rivers.

If we are closer to Kumogakure, then the Sound Village might notice us, and Orochimaru must be looking for Tsunade like crazy now.

To the northeast, there are like three more possible places, but they all have some kind of surveillance, and from what I learned during my stay with Ameyuri and Karin in Kumogakure, there are still people investigating in the Kusagakure area, so I can't use that place either.

So I guess I'll have to improvise something in the opposite direction and find a place in the Land of Whirlpools where the ninja of Kirigakure have little or no presence.

Should I ask Mariko if she knows of any areas we can use?

Although I don't know if she'll remember something like that after so many years away from her origin, it would be normal if she couldn't, in fact.

Now, I remember that after the Chunin Exam is when Naruto and his group pursue the deserter Sasuke when the four of the Sound pick him up. I suppose I'll drop by to see, after all, I remember that the white Zetsu that also carries the black one comes out of the ground when Naruto is unconscious or taken away.

It will be a good opportunity to get a piece of white Zetsu, and they won't know what hit them. Well, maybe they'll figure it out after what happened with Inoichi, but they won't understand why until it's too late.

I also have to consider the butterfly effect my actions have caused.

Let's see...

Kimimaro won't arrive as consumable reinforcement to take Sasuke's barrel, and at the same time, Lee hasn't undergone his last "youth" operation and must still be facing the shock of his life. I can almost imagine him muttering that the sand is evil...

Does that mean that Gaara should be able to act as reinforcement for Naruto?

Hmm, no, the situation is even more complicated.

In the current circumstances, Temari won't be able to respond to the request and leave Sunagakure to support Shikamaru against Tayuya.

At the same time, her brothers must be very busy supporting the rise to power of their older sister and can't "waste time" chasing a traitor who isn't even from their village.

That also takes Gaara and Kankuro out of the equation. Then, Kankuro won't be able to support Kiba and Akamaru against Ukon and Sakon either.

Hmm, I think I've messed up their chances quite a bit without realizing it.

Well, for starters, it was a miracle that they managed to get out as they did.

And all that would be under the premise that the new Hokage sends these kids as Tsunade did instead of taking a different action. But first, Jiraiya should try to find Tsunade with Naruto, and now...

This will be entertaining!
