Chapitre 19: Chapter 17
[Six months later.]
It has been six months since Nathaniel took on the position as co-head of Mercury Labs and also told Felicity and Alex about his secrets and in these six months, many things have happened as the world welcomed the age of superhumans.
The first thing that the city welcomed was the now famous mysterious being themed the white streak by a certain blogger. A super fast being that runs around the city and saving lives.
The second noticeable thing in the city is the unnatural increase in crime and the final most important thing is something that almost no one knows about it and that is the people in society with different kinds of power roaming around the city.
Mercury Labs.
In these past six months, a lot has happened to the research facility after Nathaniel took on the position of Co-head and the head of the Mechanical engineering department. With his genius-level intellect in almost all fields of research and also with his powers, he was able to help to make the research facility more prestigious than it already was and with his awesome inventions and breakthrough which has made him this much successful in such short amount of time, he was sure to attract some attention and he did as it attracted a certain not so crippled guy.
Currently, inside Nathaniel's office in Mercury Labs, you could see him sitting behind his sci-fi table with multiple holographic files in front of him while Alex was sitting beside him. You may ask why is she there, right? Well, Nathaniel employed her to be his assistant and a Bio-genetic researcher.
"These are all the information that I have acquired about Harrison Wells and after thoroughly going through all of them and the information I received from those who know him, I realized that something is right."
Nathaniel said to Alex as he opened up a file that displayed two newspaper articles. The first newspaper was about the car accident of Harrison Wells and Tess Morgan while the other was the news about the murder of his mother and the date the newspaper was published was on the same day and almost the same time.
"Dr McGess told me that Harrison Wells became a new person after the accident because he lost the love of his life and so were the others who knew him but after further investigation into Harrison I came to ask myself a question. What if he hasn't become a new person but he indeed is a new person with Harrison Wells's appearance."
"You mean he has been replaced by someone else?"
"Yes, just like how my future self was able to mimic the appearance of a dead distant relative of my mom with the help of holographic technologies. The real Harrison Wells must have also died that night the accident happened or was killed and then replaced by the current Harrison. So the question is, who is the real reverse flash and what does he want with Barry?"
Nathaniel said to Alex before getting up from his chair and moved towards the exit in the office.
"That is just a guess of mine and to prove that guess I have to visit the place the accident happened but before that, I have to visit Barry first. You can come with me if you want."
"No, I have some unfinished tests to conduct so you can go without me."
Nathaniel nodded his he and left the office and went straight to the private elevator.

S.T.A.R. Labs.
A black car stopped at the parking lot of the previously famous research facility and from the car, Nathaniel got out. He straighten his clothes before heading for the door and went inside towards the usual place he goes whenever he comes to S.T.A.R. Labs and that was the cortex.
"Hey, Cisco. Hey, Caitlin."
When Nathaniel reached the cortex, he saw that Dr Wells was not present so he called out to the only people present who were inside the treatment area where Barry is and they seemed to be waiting for him to wake.
"Hey Nathaniel, you came at the right time. Barry is has been showing signs of him waking up."
Cisco waved at Nathaniel when he looked towards him and gestured for him to come to the treatment area and Nathaniel did.
"Hey, Nathaniel. How have you been doing?"
"I'm as healthy as ever."
Caitlin greeted Nathaniel as normally as she could when Nathaniel entered the treatment area and too responded with a very funny answer that brought a smile to her face. During these past six, Nathaniel, Alex and Caitlin's friendship had become closer to the point of them having dinner in each other house. During those time, Nathaniel came to realize that Caitlin always had an aloof face and did little to smile or laugh so as a hero, he took it upon himself to cheer her up but didn't pray into the reason behind her aloof expression until she opened up to him about it and Nathaniel became very suspicious at his fate of meeting girls like Caitlin and Felicity.
"So where is Dr Wells? I haven't seen him ever since I entered the facility."
Nathaniel raised a question that was important to him since he knew that Barry was going to wake up today.
"I think he is in his office. Anyway, Barry will be waking up in any minutes now."
Cisco answered Nathaniel's question but he wasn't in why he asked so he dismissed it and drew the attention to Barry as they wait for him to wake.
As they were waiting for Barry to wake up, Nathaniel suddenly had a funny idea to tease his brother.
"Hey, guys. I have an idea that will make Barry wake up faster..."
Cisco and Caitlin showed a confused expression upon hearing Nathaniel's words but they didn't say anything about it and so he continued.
"*Ahem* Dear brother, I'm very sorry to inform you that I couldn't prevent it from happening and now Iris is dating someone else..."
"Aah! Where am I? Nathaniel...?"
The moment that those words left Nathaniel's mouth, as if on cue, Barry's eyes suddenly opened up and got up from the patient bed he was laying on and asked where he was but then he saw Nathaniel and the others.
Both Cisco and Caitlin held their mouths with their hands as to try and stop themselves from laughing at the scene while Nathaniel calms Barry down.
"You don't need to worry about where you are, you are in S.T.A.R. Labs and also... Welcome back to the land of the living."
"S.T.A.R. Labs? What am I doing here."
Barry became confused at the mentioned of S.T.A.R. Labs and asked as to why he was there.
"I will explain everything to you later but first you have to comply with what these two will ask of you, okay."
Barry nodded his head at Nathaniel's words as he had complete trust in his brother that he wouldn't do anything harmful to him so looked towards Cisco and Caitlin who at this point had calmed themselves down and the proceeded to demand what they needed from him.

It been an hour since Barry woke up and you could currently see him and Nathaniel inside Nathaniel's car and were heading for CC Jitters where Iris works at.
"So, you are saying that the both of us got struck by lightning and went into coma where you woke up after three month but I had to spend nine months. That's insane and it also gave me abs."
Barry became fascinated at Nathanial's explanation to him on why he was in S.T.A.R. Labs. He felt like all that surreal but yet here they are as living proof of what happened.
"Well, we are here. There is still a lot to talk about but we will do that later."
Nathanial stopped the car when they reached CC Jitters and told Barry to get down since he wanted to see Iris but before Barry left the car, he told him there was a lot to talk about since he was planning on telling him about his position in Mercury Labs.
"Okay, see you tonight."
Barry nodded to Nathanial's words before leaving the car want into the cafe and Nathaniel drove off but stopped the after gaining some distance between him and CC Jitters.
"Alexia, take the car home."
Nathaniel got off the car and instructed Alexia to take the car home before he dashed off towards Star City and his destination in Star City is the road where Dr Wells' car accident happened.
