Chapitre 21: 18. Bleeding nymph

I felt something shift as the nymph closed his eyes . It didn't appear as though he had wanted to fall sleep.
I tried calling his name but he still slept .
So I decided to do as he asked me .
I looked up at the hospital . It was around the next corner . Soon Yuree would feel better . That's what mattered .
I started walking again and tried to make sure not to cause the sleeping nymph discomfort .
But he was getting harder to hold . He seemed to be getting slippery .
I wondered if he was sweating alot or if he had released fluids from his bladder .
But his face was not covered in sweat and his short looked dry except for the blood .
So why was he slippery ? I thought . I turned the corner whilst thinking this and I finally reached the hospital .
It was a tall spiralling tower with a red Cross at the top . Multiple glass windows on each of its floors . I could see people moving up on top , so high ... like in the clouds ...
" Oh my God ! What happened to him ?! "
" huh ?" I turned to the person who was yelling . I had reached the entrance of the hospital and had been about to walk in but then I heard the yell .
It was two humans , dressed in white , one a female and another male . They were rushing from inside the building coming towards us .
It was the woman who had yelled ,
She opened the door and looked at the nymph .
" Young man , what happened to him ?" the man asked me .
" He was hurt by other hu-boys . They hurt him ." I answered , I had to stop calling other humans humans infront of humans or else it could lead to problems . I knew that .
" Well good job on saving him but he's bleeding profusely . We have to get him inside ." the woman said rushing in .
The man opened the door for me and told me to go in .
I walked in as ordered but my mind was confused .
The nymph had said he was in pain but not that he was bleeding . So why did they say he was bleeding ? I thought .
" Here , put him on the stretcher ." the woman said bringing a bed with wheels .
I placed the nymph down on to the bed .
He looked... pale . I moved close to his face to check if anything was wrong . I lifted my hand to check his now pale skin but then I froze .
I looked at my hand in horror .
My hand was covered in red blood !
" It's good you got him here in time . But he looks like he's lost alot of blood . We better get him into ICU ." the woman said and then they started pushing Yuree away on the bed .
I looked at them until they turned the corner and disappeared .
I wanted to follow . I did but ... I was still shocked by the blood on my hands .
The nymph had been bleeding ? This whole time , we had been walking and i didn't know .
I looked at my hands , at the blood and I felt a black feeling in my chest . This feeling was different from intense hunger or the hot emotion I felt when those boys hurt Yuree . This one made me feel ... sad and worried about him .
If he had bled too much then he would die .
I knew death wasn't the end but if he died then he would go and not be here . I would not see him until I finished my unfinished business .
I didn't want to not see him anymore .
I had been happy when I saw him . He was so beautiful that I could have stared at his face for eternity . Even with blood he still had a shine in his green eyes that showed life . If the light went out ... then ... he would be ...
" Excuse , but young man are you okay ?"
I turned to the new voice , it was another female human , she wore white and had black hair . She was looking it me with a sad face .
Why was she sad ? I wondered , was she sad about the nymph too ?
" He was ... he was ... I ..." I tried speaking but my voice was returning to a slow rasp again . I raised my blood covered hands so she knew what I meant .
" Oh , it's okay . He'll be fine . " she said placing a hand on my shoulder ," You brought him in time . From what I saw he looked out of it but not gone . So you just have to wait ."
She pointed to a pair of chairs by the wall . She moved me along and I sat on the chair .
" Look , I know it's hard . My girlfriend also had an accident a few months ago . But trust me , your boyfriend will be fine ." she said smiling but I felt confused .
My boyfriend ? Who was my boyfriend ? I was worried about the nymph , I didn't have a boyfriend .
" Oh , I have to go right now . " she said looking behind her , " But I'll be back to tell you if he's good or the other nurses will . "
She got up and turned around.
I sat looking at her retreating back for awhile and then I looked back at my bloody hands .
Should I clean them ? I wondered , but the fountain was far away and I didn't want to leave the nymph .
What if he ... mmm... I didn't think it . I felt the dark feeling more as I thought about it .
I thought about the nymph as we had talked instead . I remembered his smile , his voice and his eyes .
I had felt ... good when I was with him . It had felt good to not be alone .
I looked around at where I sat . It was a passage with the entrance door close by . The floor was clean and white , the walls looked the same as the walls . I saw more humans in white and others who were dressed like those outside .
I had passed the hospital before but I had never gone inside .
But I knew people died here .
I knew this , but I didn't know how I knew . Olibia never explained everything .
I wondered what she was doing .

NixelLazuli Hey , I just realised that this story needs a character who breaks the fourth wall ... Such a character promotes humour and a sense of connectedness with readers.
So who do you think it will be ?
