Chapitre 137: Sparring

It had been several days since Ash started to notice something different about Max.

His appearance was a lot rougher and he was occasionally coming a little later.

He would display that he was in pain on occasion when he moved like he had been injured.

There were some others inside who had bruised faces or abdomens with some cuts and puffed-up parts of their skin where there had been some swelling.

It could be explained that they got them from sparring or other things but there were many instances where somebody came in with regular injuries like they had been in rough fights with others.

It was not something that could be so well covered up for everyone and some regulars went missing for some time before coming in just as bad.

It remained clear that something was going on in the background that she was not seeing.

That was where she wanted to gain access to if she wanted to get what she had been looking for.
