Chapitre 3: Sweet Dreams

We head to "bed" , with almost each of us climbing our own tree, and laying down. Solar Dude stays down and tends to the fire.

"Solar, do you like your class? I'm assuming you got it from the random wheel thing to do with school?" I call, from up above.

"Yeah, it's decent to me, so far... Maybe I need to level it up..." He says, muttering.

I take a moment to think about that, and sink into the tree's shadow, and I just look through my menus, basically opening a subspace and no-clipping where there is shadow. I think its a box, big enough to fit me. The shadow needs to big enough, too...

I look at my skills, and contemplate how I can use Concept Of Choice...

I could make a sound with sound magic to increase it with Volume... But which is better, My Sound Magic's Vibration Frequency, or Volumes Enhanced Side... I could do vibration strength from the magic and either multiply it by 3 times with Volume, or I can increase it by 22.5 Times with Concept of Choice, without increasing the magic...

Oh, wait, if I make it Sound Based Abilities, it'd 350% increase both Sound Magic, and Skills...

I think Option Two is better.

In anycase, can I use ShadowFiend's Shadow to move?

(Denied. A Beta Tester made use of a similar trick, so you need a travel skill to actually travel, rather than hitching a ride. We still allow hiding in shadows, entering a piece of jewelry's subspace, or similar, you just need to make it, or gain it. The Shadow moves too fast for it to had been allowed hitch hiking, to phrase it simply.)

Um... Okay... Thanks for responding so fast...

( I'm just wanting to make my debut more handy, so I'm helping customer support and nerfing beta glitches, or other such things. A Vampire got extremely powerful on another server, and devastated enemies with multipliers that didn't stack. )

Wait, we got to pick our race?

(Oh, I'm sorry, let me help. Do you like your appearance?)

Um... Yes... Who are you?

(The Game. Anyway, what race is good, and anything mixed blood related is up to you. Either Extra Endurance from Dwarf, and the Extra Endurance from Dragonborn. It's a percentage based system, it boosts by said percentage. For each you pick, you give up one.)

Okay... can I be a Elvish Were-Dragon With Dragonborn as the base for the Were-Dragon's Bloodline, but the Elvish takes precedence in the facial features, and the dragon side is black?

(Um... Fuck it. Sure. Black-Purple Color scheme?)

Ooh, maybe the hue picker could help find the right purple.

(Okay, here's a color picker coded to find the right one, and it'll enter it. Tail?)

When in the Were-Dragon state, sure. Do I actually control like a body part, like this? I ask it, somehow, and move a line behind my ass, and wag it. I whip it, making it longer. I pick the Elves's Agility 25% increase, and the Dragonborn's Endurance 30% Increase.

(Um... Thanks for solving a problem, I'll write out a tutorial regarding non-bipedal parts, based off of that, spider legs will be easier to grasp. You opened up a new mechanic for players, and I like your build. Consider it an Investment. I'll hit 50 other Players with Investments, based off of their performance. Here's a Rare Magic Combination, on the house, I'm fully aware of your potential.)

Oh... Is it my choice?

(No. Five choices. Pick three. Spacial, Gravity, Enhancement Magic, Enchantment Magic, And Electricity Magic... Should be a good random roll... Fusing this will be a pain in the- Oh shit sorry. Just pick.)

Um... Enhancement Magic, Electricity Magic, And Enchantment Magic...

(Okay... Figured Spacial + Gravity would be a good choice. Your Skill pairs well though, so I'll tweak it, so its more difficult to use... Be better for you in return...)

(Got it. I'll give you Electricity Magic, and The others will be Self Enchantment Magic. Soulbound stuff will work with the magic. You'll have to be creative, and make sigils. I recommend removable tattoos.) It finishes, and I see the new magic in the menu... How am I going to use it?

Thanks... Is everyone getting buffed?

(What? Oh, right balancing, I got distracted. Anyway, 10 Minute Effects, and they are more powerful with more mana. Said magic is able to be amplified by CoC)

Thank you... Um... May my girlfriend Serisa have luck... I don't expect you to do this again.

(What? I'm the game, don't worry. I'll be here, but don't expect handouts. This was because of a mistake on my part.)

Oh... Okay, I understand...

(Anyway, bye.)

I think for a while, contemplating what just happened. I pop out of the shadows.

"Solar, you too?" I ask, noticing he's a High Elf Tiefling hybrid.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Seems someone got lucky, the server is going nuts. It's making sure everything isn't gods at level 1. So it's making everything stronger. Players will have less stats, more abilities, apparently." He says, sighing. "It gave me pity points..." He says, staring into the fire.

I try the Self Enchantment Ten minute thing, and I use 100 of the 325 max points I have to use it.

I notice each magic has its own bar.

(Pick an Effect. +30% Luck, +50% Endurance.)

Um... Concept of Choice, Stats...

Sure enough, its 350% extra. Near 5 times more stats. I have it select luck, which is at 112.5, so...

"I'm out, I have stuff to catch up on. Have a good night guys..." I say, walking into the shadows.

'Shadow, can you search for a dungeon and guide me there?' I ask.

'I can find it. You'll know when I know. Stay safe.' It replies, respectively.

'Thanks, you too, have a fun way there, if you want.' I say, and I hear a slight laugh, as it leaves.

Does the AI count separately?

(Yes, I made it myself.) It says, and I hear faint laughing.

Okay...

I turn myself down too 0% sound, and start running.

Concept Of Choice, Inertia.

At least, I'm flying. I think my body is hitting itself and pushing, and now I'm flying upward.

Concept of Choice, Aerodynamics.

I start gliding, but if I move my arms, I start to lift and sink variably.

I find the right position, somewhat spread eagle, and I basically tilt to move. I feel the air under me move, and I understand how to move across it, and how to harness it. Joking around, I decided to do something.

I gently tilt downward, and grab a tree by the tip of it.

I hear a moan from below, and I use Concept Of Choice, to increase my body's Atomic Density.

I shrink a "bit" and fall, fast, and hard. I actually land on a stone, because apparently there was a river bed, and the rock shatters.

"Oh, a Fey!" I hear from the base of the tree, a pretty and feminine voice says.

I see a hot young woman, wearing nothing, standing at the base of the tree I caught myself with.

Bit tanner of a lady, with pretty gilded eyes. Nice hips, I think to myself, staring.

"Keep looking, Pipsqueak." She says, and I grin, thinking.

Concept Of Choice, Size.

I grow, becoming Absolutely Massive.

(Shit.)

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT, I'M SORRY MY LIEGE, PLEASE DON'T HURT MY FAMILY!" She screams, as I shrink back down to normal, Using CoC Defense.

"Oh. I wasn't going to. I'm still rather weak..." I say, and she turns white. "There's beings you find strong?" She says, getting closer.

"Yes, Gods, or Good Gamers." I say, and she stares, bewildered.

"These Gamers, they are stronger?" She asks, basically hugging me. She notices my twig.

"What's that?" She asks, innocently.

"My mating tool. It liked you, but anyway, yes, there is stronger beings." I say, and she stares at it.

Nope.

Concept of Choice, Friction

I start to run, and stumble, as I have a new grip.

Eventually, I find a patch of stones, tired, as everything has been sticking to me. I lay down, and roll over, coating myself in stone.

I lay here, tired, and I lay in the stream, washing away my scent. I make sure I'm not facing down.

Concept Of Choice, XP Gain All. It's 375% again... Eh, it's fine, I'm able to choose this shit at will, anyway.

Wait, that's actually fucking cool, at will technology.

I sit up, and dry, relaxing. I want to have a magic I can practice freely...

Maybe something like Metal...

Anyway, I practice manipulating shadows, warping them as I pass, and they return to normal as I leave.

Eventually, I find a Boar...

I lunge at it, throwing my weight against it, trying to pin it down. Successfully, it freezes, and holds still, playing dead. I'm surprised it's trying this. I sit for a few minutes.

Um... Will I kill it? And cook it...

Concept Of Choice, Physical

I feel a massive weight remove, and I wobble slightly.

I go to help the boar stand, but it collapses down like a type of goat I forgot.

I struggle for the next 20 minutes trying to get it to realize I'm not going to harm it, and it starts eating berries from a bush. I wait about an hour, watching the little guy, making sure that type isn't poisonous.

I pick one off of the bush, and pop it in my mouth, curious.

(Bitter Berry. Safe.)

Oh, so this little guy likes bitter. Or is limited to it.

I look around, and notice a few other boars walking over. This one turns to see them, and trots off to them, and it wiggles, and walks over to the berry bush. They follow, after grunting.

That was kind of cute.

I'm still not sure what to do other then whatever I like on a whim. I'll avoid being popular, though. Either that or I'll be popular but not seen.

I don't want to do PVP Ranking, I'm fine with staying off of the leaderboard. Not like there isn't going to be gods. There's going to be a least a god player per town. Either God Kings, or Kings with a General God.

I keep saying "God", but there isn't beings at that point yet. Everything has a system to get better. Gods, would be players right about now, probably level 5.

Apparently, Divinity is attainable by players, but it takes about 2 years of real time casual gameplay to get there.

"Hey, will different Players be different gods from a Pantheon?" I ask, absent mindedly, losing track.

(Different Requirements for different gods, and yes. When a Player reaches Divinity, they can become a god from any pantheon they clear requirements for. Solar Knight, could potentially be Helios. Less likely, Apollo.)

Ah. And I have sound and shadow. Trickery? No, Climber dude is better off Trickery God-wise...

(You qualify for a good few. But it is more then Element. Blacksmith, and several other crafting classes lead to Hephaestus And Vulcan.

Feats you achieve are a way of measuring it. If you wish to qualify for a God, there is a dungeon in a PVP zone, that is PVP Free, that makes players score against each other to see who would get the higher ranked God, and for money.

Purely for entertainment. I am not allowed to say where, find out for yourself.) It says, with a tone that makes me believe it's worth it.

'Master, 200 meters away from the light.' I hear, as a shadow binds itself back to me.

"Alright. Shadow, would you like a Name?" I ask, turning West, watching the sun rise.

'Noct is pleasing.' He says, his voice shifting slightly.

I look down, and look at him. He waves.

"Would you like to stick to the shadows, and defend us from attackers, Noct?" I ask, smiling.

A crescent smile opens in its head, light peeking through his corners. An eye shaped hole opens as well.

'May I?' He asks, bowing, head returning to normal, and soon enough, my shadow is gone, which is still something I'm getting used to.

The shadows around flicker, and a Man appears. He's wearing a near black trenchcoat, and has a neat elegant Black and Gilded cane, with beautiful wood craftmanship.

"Good morning sir." I say, grinning.

"Oh, another Possessed." He mutters. He turns away, and walks toward the shadows.

"Excuse me, sir, but I'm wanting to find a town, unless the dungeon near here is yours." I say, and he near teleports in front of me, and holds me by the collar. My shadow pulls at his shadows trenchcoat, cleary trying to tell him to stop.

His shadow turns towards my shadow, and visibly shrieks, no sound emitting.

Mine morphs, stretching out it's mass outward, towards other shadows, and I hear several birds calling, and stop, then tens of birds fall from the trees, then the other small critters, one by one, and as they drop out, the system dings over and over, letting me know I got exp, and leveled up to 7.

( +50 SP, +15 SKLP, Class Level 3. Skills, Shadow Bind, Shadow Cast, and Shadow Warp, gained.)

The man steps back, as my shadow returns to me, blacker then before, and I see mine take on a different form, and it growls back at his shadow, and coils up my body, wrapping me in my own shadow, and I feel a new sensory feeling.

"A Shadow Meld with your own shadow? Instead of hiding, or moving, it wants to protect you? Mine is here unwillingly..." He says, lifting his shoe, and it transforms into a boot, made of a black metal I've never seen, but it's gorgeous, and it seems to absorb light. It's held together by Bolts. Technology.

Four enormous nails are in the corner of his boots each, and I can see the veil of black in the air, indicating the mans shadow.

"Names Pan." He says, and I get excited, thinking about about someone else.

"James Pan." He rewords, and I think about that for a bit.

"I'd like you to come to my 'Dungeon...', you'll see the rumors were true." He says, smiling.

"What rumors?" I ask.

"That I swoop children away." He says, confused.

"Kidnap, or save." I say, as we walk.

"Save, of course. It's become a hobby, saving kids from families that might cause them pain. So I found a new home for them, and now I'm raising a family of 20." He says, proud.

"How long you been at it?" I ask, and he frowns.

"Since it was my little brother, who got hurt." He says, staring inti the distance.

"Oh. Sorry." I say, and he smiles.

"Yeah, Don't worry. He may not be still here. But I am, and I can keep others from having the same fate. Would you like to visit? The Boys and Girls would love a new guest." He says, and I follow, nodding.

"I'm guessing the home isn't the absolute safest?" I ask. He gets serious.

"Don't go out at night. There's a reason these beasts should stay where they're told." He says, not looking down with his head, but with his eyes. My shadow reacts, looking at his. His shadow looks back, clueless.

"Yours can hear?" He asks. I nod. He thinks, walking.

I take this time to put the points in, making Intelligence and Endurance my highest stats, with Agility following close. Luck highest otherwise.

After a few minutes, we make it to his home, which is apparently by the bay.

He whispers to a rock, by a cliff by the bay, that's shaped like a skull.

"I'll tell you what the Entry Code is when I can trust you. Exit Code, is Always." He says, turning, and places his hand, into the mouth of the skull.

The cliff rumbles, and a rock slides out of the wall, with enough space for something nearly 10 foot tall.

He walks in fast, and I do as well, and the rock slams shut, sealing us in.

"Welcome to N-E-V-E-R Land, where you don't say it." He says, and I nod, thinking fast.

"I see. Is that the only rule here?" I ask, curious.

"No, There's a few. None of them concern you, you understand not to harm, these kids were young from bad families, and they went dark. I've done my best to make them sweet again, but don't think they're innocent. Especially the older ones, they're more twisted. Their tails," He says, looking at our shadows, pausing.

"Are darker then their hearts..." He says, staring off, thinking about something visibly. He looks at his hands.

"From what you know so far, If I had done something bad, something evil, would this make up for it?" He asks, and I feel a invisible tear.

"I don't know what I know. Is your conviction cloaked in shadow? Is your dark past something so dark you'll never see past it? Is it so evil and foul it haunts you now? If yes, even no, just understand that you're a person, just like me. We all make mistakes, it's if we make up for them. Or the souls that haunt us forgive us. They haunt so we don't forget... So we... Remember our shadows, and the shapes they come in." I say, looking down at his shadow.

I notice how the shadow looks thinner then the tall, bulky man. Childish.

Must be a trick of the light.

'No, that shadow is in pain. It's also not his shadow. He thinks it is. Don't trust him.' Noct says, and I think.

I look at my SKLP total, and I think on how I should upgrade things. 5 Epic upgrades, 7 Rare upgrades, or even new skills. CoC would be great to chose, but I'm feeling several flags here.

Let's go over the situation.

A older man, who is worried about sins. Trapped with said man, with a whole bunch of scary children with shadows that the man is scared of.

Also, this is a very Peter Pan plot point. Just with a bit darker of a feel. Fits well, narrative wise. Nice character design.

Obviously there's loot. I don't have equipment, only clothes. Resources, as it's a magical dungeon, and a video game.

But also a Pseudo Civilization. Meaning there could be spellcasters, who can help me learn how to enchant.

"Hey, James, I'm sorry to ask, but is there anyone who can enchant here?" I ask, nervously.

He looks up, thinking, and I notice something, it's a different sky, Stars above in the daylight. Twin suns, one bigger than the other. I think ones bluer then the other. Being the smaller one.

"I think I brought him a couple of array books... Plants he wanted and other such things, yeah, his name is Jake. Been about 20 years since I brought him here." He says, and I smile.

"Thanks, James. Did you guys build homes or something?" I ask, looking at the wondrous things around.

"Yeah. Carter learned several techniques from his dad, before his dad died and I took him in. Some of them are just orphans, and the night doesn't make their shadows feral." He says, and Noct mimes a shocked, and hurt, gesture. James sighs, and keeps leading me to the base.

It's magnificent, swings hanging from a massive tree, spanning hundreds of meters tall, with buildings laying at it's base. A massive pulley system hangs from the tree's branches, and as we get closer, it seems to only grow more massive.

Eventually, I see brightly colored rocks nailed into the tree, as a rock climbing course, with a rope specifically for safety.

He grins when he sees this.

"100 years of helping kids like these..." He says, looking at me, and I swear I see his fire flicker. His shadow seems to notice me thinking about it. It has a smile, like mine had. No eyes.

Noct, you should stay on here, at least until night. If the shadows don't have an owner, kill them. Absorb would be amazing.

He gives James' Shadow the middle finger, and it warps a little, vibrating.

Mine does it back, intenser. His darkens a little, and James snaps, and a light flickers into existence and crackles, visibly hurting the shadow.

CoC: Defensive

Noct seems to understand, and hides under my clothes.

James sees this and turns pale, but Noct reaches a bit out from under my clothes, and you can barely see his veil.

"Wait, what? You can bind it to your clothing?" He says, looking closer.

"Captain James, the kids are bugging about their equipment." A voice calls, coming closer.

"Ah, William, this is... wait, I didn't catch your name... Mr..." James asks, turning towards me.

"Um... Mr. Hyde." I say, and James turns pale.

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't realize he had a relative." James says, nervously.

"Wait, did something happen to that Mr. Hyde?" I ask, looking down.

"Yeah, he died a few years ago..." James says, looking toward the entrance.

"Oh..." I say, looking up.

"Okay, anyway, William, tell the kids to hold on, I want to know what this guy will buy..." James says, turning toward who I now now as William.

"K, Captain. See you soon." He says, turning, with a nod, and running off toward the tree. Eventually he jumps, and now I see a ciff edge, that a man just leaped off, falling towards a massive trampoline.

"Careful, Hyde, as falling down without enough force to get back up, you'll have to wait for an apple..." James says, running, and takes off into the air, and a little light from the sky fly toward him, behind him, like lightning, and he flys faster as it reaches him.

'Oh. Um... What the fuck. This is... strange...' I think to myself, looking over the edge, and planning my bounces. I back up, and sprint a bit back, and stretch.

CoC: Stats

350%, so its not that bad. Higher levels would be better. But I do get to be able to fight 3 times my level threshold stat wise. Those thing would be prepared to fight stronger by at least 2, by game logic. Unless the other thing had a better ability.

After preparing myself, I run about as fast as I could while maintaining balance, as I'm still not used to the increase, and jump off the cliff edge.

I don't know how the stats would factor in, and I don't care. Besides, This is about the story, not the powers, right?

CoC: Atomic Mass

You, you know what, never mind, journal. From this point on, I am writing to myself.

I wrote the experience in the game so far, and we are continuing in the morning. Wait, there's an auto journal? If I let them read the journal, I get to have a new element.

All I have to do is not write personal life things. Like Serisa's real life stuff.

I decide to confirm this contract, which is literally just the few words, about how the Xerxes Cooperation would be able to read the journal, and how I get that in response, and that if I don't get it, another friend could potentially get a model because of refunds.

I made sure they didn't pull shit, and they didn't pull shit.

Anyway,

(Rolling the Magic!)

(Epic: Temperature)

(Skills, Insulation, Rapid Ignition/Freezing.)

Oh shit. Thanks, this is... Good. Too good.

Epic: Rapid Ignition/Freezing: Whatever mass you touch, whenever you use 100 points of Temperature Mana, can active either, Ignite all connecting matter to the sensation you pick, of the same type, or freeze it, with the same cast type, not increased or decreased cost.

Insulation makes it so I'm fine in normally bad temperatures. I can sit in the cold of space if I had air. But I'd need the warmth for Air to be recycled. I don't have Air magic, and I'm more likely not getting it.

I could sit in a volcano.

Anyway, this was sick. Flesh... Oh, wait, flesh layer. Oh shit. What, 500 points for a guaranteed kill? 5 touches fast.

I have skill points. Wait, can I purchase magic?

I need to be a higher level, and they are way more expensive then skills. 50 Stat Points, SP, for a common magic, which is basically a spell with an elemental pool. Other Temperature users have different or the same Skills as spells.

I find a gacha for skill points. A divine is 20 SKLP... I could grab a legendary skill... Two epics... 75% of 100%, when 100% is 25%...

I'll level up twice more first. Then I'll decide. I could blow all 15 I have on commons. Uncommons are 2, so they are that much better.

Wait, I have a class slot. How do I get a new one? Not level 5... 10 might be it, but it might be a different system.

Classes would use EXP for Levels for more Skills. You could level up class skills with Class EXP.

So I need to level up to level up.

Anyway, the fall. I'm still falling, apparently the trampoline is below the floating tree, which the dirt in the roots is the flatform they built on.

After about 2 minutes I hit the tramp, hard, and It barely dents, and I launch upward, unrealistically, because that was SOLID. That. was. not. Trampoline.

I hear them laughing from above, cackling they're asses off.

I hear giggling from a surprisingly older group of kids then I expected.

"This is Hyde, everyone, he'll be here for a few days." James says, from above, swooping down and grabbing me by my underwear, and I laugh.

CoC: Buoyancy

I start to lift, and he lets go, surprised, and I shoot upwards.

COC: ATOMIC MASS!

I scream mentally, and I fling harder upward, and I start to slow, but I feel the amount of weight behind this, I've turned into a meteor.

I come crashing down at a diagonal angle, unable to rotate properly due to my inability to fucking see because of how fucking hard I'm moving.

I land hard, crashing into a wall.

"Sorry!" I shout, immediately, standing up.

James soars over, cackling.

"Hyde, you sure that's your name?" He swoops down.

"By this point, no." I say, laughing.

"Well, Hyde, you have to fix the wall now." A girl says, behind me. A few others are in the corner of the house, chatting, frantically, shocked.

"Um, What kind is it?" I say, looking over. Stones, I think bricks.

"Well, I don't want to." I say, and I use COC to increase Defense.

"Wait, how the fuck..." The girl says, as I grow, my Density returning to normal.

"I followed him here because of his shadow. How about you?" I say, turning towards the girl.

"The same thing." She says, and James' nods.

The girls shadow isn't there.

I look at James', and wonder...

Is it his brothers?

"Sir, can you tell this shithead to fix my wall." She asks him.

"No Wendy. He doesn't know how. Besides, he's a fighter." He says, and she sighs.

"What am I going to do with you..." She says, and she sits back down with the other girls.

I walk out the wall to piss her off.

James' Shadow flickers, and James just walks out grinning.

"James, I don't have money, you said something about selling me equipment?" I ask him, as we walk, apparently to Jake's house.

"Oh, yeah, that's a good point." He says, and he takes off a hat that appeared when he reached up, and it's a bright green cap with a red feather.

"Still reminds me of back then. Still haven't grew up." He says, looking at me. He reaches in, and I see his fire flickering, and I can tell he's still childish fashion wise, as I can tell he sees something in the green.

He pulls out a sword and a scabbard. I look at them.

"Is it a look at it till we see something good scenario?" I ask him. He nods. He sets the sword and sheath down, and a kid walks by looks at it, and grabs them, smiling. He swings the blade, and it cuts a rock like butter.

"Lucky kid." We both say at the same time. He laughs a little, and he reaches in again.

"How... this..." He says, taking a Dagger and Sheath out.

It's Purple, but it's dark enough to look black, and you can see the purple glint in the light. The edge looks black, and it had a pretty Obsidian in the hilt. Blood? The sheath has a matching shaped black gem, it's crystalline texture showing off in a beam of light that it struck coincidentally.

I take it into my hands, and I hold it. I back up, and stab, and swing.

"Oh, shit." He says, sighing.

A copy of it flys through the air, in the exact spot 5 seconds later. It flickers out of existence, after tracing my movements.

"Um, I might cut myself..." I say, grinning. He frowns at this, and nods. He takes it, and grabs another weapon, holding onto the hilt, it still sheathed.

It's massive, and it's nearly 6/7ths of me.

"Holy Shit." I murmur, as he drags it out slowly.

"Here." He says, grinning wildly.

I take it into my hands, and I feel power rush in.

(Fractal, Earned. Find the pieces, reforge this scattered blade. Pass on the task if you aren't worthy. Soulbound, apply owners elemental damage by 110%, Adjustable Hilt, Adjustable Sheath, :70/100: Restricted Power: 10%) The system notifies me, and I panic slightly.

"What?" He says with a smile, as I shrink the handle and sheath down to a knives size.

"30 should be fine, right?" He says, and I can tell he's not to be messed with. How accelerated was this pre generated server?

"Yeah... Can I have a ring?" I ask, and he smiles.

He takes out several boxes, each of a varying color. I pick a decent red box, and he grins, and it glows slightly.

(Ring of Holding) The system reads out, and I grin.

"Oh, this is nice." I say, putting it on.

Wendy walks over and looks at James, angrily.

"James, seriously, you gave him a ring first, 100 years, and some fucking str-" She rants, and he stops her with a kiss. She looks like she 19 but she's older, k.

"Sorry, he has a shadow friend..." He says, and my shadow pops off and waves, standing upright on a wall nearby.

"I thought that thing was destroyed 60 years ago..." James says, thinking back.

"What?" I ask.

"Some crazy old mans device, he said it could catch demons. Never figured out how it worked, it made your shadow sentient.

Noct flickers, and a grin appears, and he darts over to my clothes.

"Well, either that or there's a newer device. It could've just an old crazy man who found a spell." Wendy says, and James nods.

"Well either way, your shadow is a person of its own. It reflects who you are inside." James says, and mine flickers, and shifts. It forms pretty shapes and makes different designs, and makes animals of those designs.

James' sees this, looks at James' boots, and it stretches off his boots, and grows massively, covering the area in shadow.

The sky lights up with more stars in the day, and lights fall from the heavens, striking his now immense shadow, spanning across a large amount of tree.

James' stomps his boots, and makes a sewing motion where the nails are, sitting down. His shadow forms at his shoes base, and stares at the nails, and it goes to move, not looking away from the sewing motion, and it re-sticks.

Wendy comes over to me and whispers, "He hasn't been told it doesn't actually work, it's the best he can do, not knowing it doesn't work, so it doesn't know." She says to me, but I look at her, and back at him.

"So, his just is a bit Retarded. Doesn't mean he doesn't know. He just acts like that for it, right Noct?" I say, and Noct stares at James' Shadow.

'What?' I ask him.

'I think that his shadow is scary. Its even scarier it's dumb.' He says, and I get a bit scared too. James' Shadow darkens, and I calm down.

"Thanks, James." I say, and point to the ring.

"Yeah." He says, not looking up.

"Um, I was going to head back out, I was wanting to try to train." I say, and he pauses. His shadow manifests three dimensionally, and looks over at me as well, and they are sitting symmetrically.

"You can do that here." James says, and darts forward, near teleporting in front of me.

"I wish to leave." I say. It gets quiet.

"You can always leave by saying the word, and only the word." He says, looking.

"Not Non Ever right?" I ask.

"Yes." He says, watching the sun rise.

"I'll be back." I say. He frowns, and flies off.

"You made him cry." I hear from a younger girl, about 9. Her mother, apparently, pulls her to the side and tells her about how there's a place outside not as good as inside. It keeps the kid quiet.

"Always." I say, and I don't move, or anything.

"Yeah, smartass. It's called that land because you don't come back. It's a running joke. James hates the joke, as he's the dungeon master, and he is the only one who can come and go until someone kills him. And he didn't know that and was sensitive. Just leave, you don't deserve the treasure." She says.

"Yeah, well, someone who deserves it less will get it." I say, and I climb the tree, thinking.

"Hey, just use the pulley!" I hear.

"I'm fine!" I say, using CoC to increase Friction. I take off my shoes, store them, and climb up the tree like a tree frog, and after a few hours, I'm stuck.

I use COC to increase Buoyancy, and soar upwards, and I hit a branch, knocking out my breath, and I soar an extra 200 feet up, just breathing, and I breath out, to let myself be rid of air inside for the Buoyancy part. CoC Defense.

I don't understand how to explain how it works, but Water on the outside of the container with Air inside will make it float, based of the volume of Water, because the air is lighter, and wants to rise. When the air is outside it however, like when Water gets into the container, the air escapes upward, and the things that are heavier sink.

Wait, breathing in was better, its because the wind was knocked out of me I rose so fast, because I was 750% more Buoyant. And I was lighter then the Air. Since the Air was outside, the thing holding me down was clothes, and I don't think that qualifies, because of the skill. This is a game, after all.

I land on a branch, hard. Apparently, I got knocked out.
