Alicia was shocked by the surprising twist of things. One second they were in their cozy world, the next he got drunk, vanished by morning, and didn't answer her calls or texts. He ignored her, only to surprisingly want to make up later that day.

It was a wild ride of highs and lows.

Alicia took a pause, then said, "I think I need a breather. Let's both cool down a bit."

That was a nice way of saying no.

Louis felt his heart drop as he admitted, "I've always been quick to anger, even more before, but you've always been so patient with me."

Alicia gave a small smile and said, "Maybe people change after going through tough times. Patience can run out."
