Alicia was deep in chat with Chuck when she felt someone's eyes drilling into her. Turning to see who it was, she found Louis staring at her.

She was taken aback for a moment, and without thinking, started to justify herself, "The TV network has asked Mr. Hanson's business to run an evaluation show. They want me to be a part of it. It seems like a good chance..."

But she stopped herself midway, realizing that Louis and her were no longer a couple, thus there was no need for explanations.

Louis remained silent. He just stood there, calmly watching her with an unreadable face.
