Chapitre 72: Crocodile Done!

Galan was reading the report before passing it to Olvia. She read it slowly as Galan started thinking, this is most likely going to be covered up.

Actually, Galan was sure it was going to be covered up. Smoker chased after the Strawhats from Loguetown after witnessing Luffy nearly being beheaded on the execution stand.

The only thing now was if the 5 Elders were going to skip over him and notify Smoker directly. Depending on what happens, Galan could be in trouble. If they jumped over him it meant that they were starting to lose faith in him and his position was in jeopardy, however the bigger issue was that he could step on two paths after that, either assassinated or given another chance being 'promoted'.

The other situation is that they tell him to notify Smoker about the situation and see what he does. Galan flipped a chesspiece in between his fingers, that boy is something else. Galan was in a delicate spot at the moment because of Luffy.

He was glad that Luffy was a good boy, because if he wasn't Garp would be heartbroken at the sight of his dead grandson. Galan and Garp were the closest thing Galan had to a close friend, he didn't want that scenario to happen no matter what.

But that didn't mean he would let little affections get in the way of his justice.

Even if Olvia turned out to be Evil, he would be hurt, but not because of being betrayed, but because she would die in his hands.

Galan was also thankful that Luffy cleansed this bastard Crocodile. He had a reason to strip him of his Warlord status, the only problem was that he couldn't get to Crocodile before he went to Impel Down.

Galan had a headache thinking about it. Criminals should be killed not put in Impel Down. Everyone in that prison was a retard in Galan's opinion. Shiki escaped from there and was still at large!

You run a prison and the prisoners come and go as they please?! What was the point of the prison!

However he heard of one Jailer that Galan liked quite a bit… The only problem was this guy was an evil person. Shiryu of the Rain was his name. Galan considered recruiting him many times but every time he would change his mind.

The reason was simple. This guy was just a plain psychopath. He didn't kill criminals because of justice. He killed them because he liked killing. This wasn't someone that Galan wanted to associate with.

You can't shout Justice and enjoy killing people.

Galan felt alive when killing criminals but not because of the act of killing. He enjoyed the feeling of purging evil. Everything was to rid the world of evil. Submerge yourself in evil to defeat evil, it was a simple calculus.

However, this Shiryu guy was a freak. He loved killing people and if he got the chance, Galan was around 85% sure he would slaughter an entire island of innocent people for fun.

But! Shiryu had only killed criminals that most likely deserved it so Galan couldn't walk into Impel Down and blow his head off. That didn't stop him from labeling Shiryu as dangerous, though.

Galan had many notebooks stacked on shelves for future review and recording purposes. In his house, a bookshelf of notebooks, the spines worn out. All the pages filled from top to bottom, as for the contents, maybe only Galan knew.

All his thoughts were in those books, maybe some of them were mad ramblings while others could be studied as treasure for the future generations. They were a wide range of information, some making sense and some not.

If you asked someone in the far future about Galan, their response would be 'Genius Insanity. A broken man who filled his missing parts with pure justice. But also a psychopathic maniac who could kill and eat at the same time.'

There was a method to the madness, maybe nobody would understand.

Olvia gasped "Monkey-chan took down Crocodile? Amazing. But…" she looked up at Galan, who nodded, "Exactly. The World Government cannot support the narrative that maybe all pirates aren't evil. Smoker will have to suffer a bit." as he thought about this, Olvia laughed and teased him, "Smoker will definitely be angry."

Galan rubbed his eyes and sighed to himself, as expected, the snail started ringing. Galan picked it up and said enthusiastically "Yes, sir!" Olvia watched his enthusiastic performance and sighed silently.

The 5 Elders explained "Fleet Admiral, you are to promote Smoker." Galan nodded like a good dog and replied "Of course, sir! I suspect that Smoker's report was bullshit, how could Pirates save a country! I was just about to Promote him myself!"

The 5 Elders were startled and smiled, "Good work, Galan. As expected you are still reliable." Galan chuckled, smiling "Of course, sir. I would never let you down! A threat to the World Government is a threat to peace! Is there anything else, sir?"

The 5 Elders thought about it before saying "Nico Robin, have you located her?" Galan suddenly became angry, saying with gritted teeth, "No, sir! That slippery little bitch escaped my sight again. Everytime we came close, she ran off and disappeared again! I heard she was with Crocodile, perhaps she's dead? That would be the best outcome."

Olvia covered her mouth and looked at Galan with a strange face… You know, I'm sitting right here…

Galan ignored her and the 5 Elders discussed this possibility before saying "It's possible, however, it's always better to make sure, Galan." Galan was suddenly enlightened, "I see! Alright, I'll send Aokiji on the case. I doubt she can run from an Admiral…"

The 5 Elders were very satisfied! Putting an Admiral on a single woman showed that Galan knew the importance of this. They couldn't allow Robin to live because she knew how to read Poneglyphs! This could be a threat to their rule!

They were assured when Galan took this so seriously, they didn't think Robin could outrun an Admiral either. As for fooling them, it didn't make sense. He was really sending Aokiji, would he lie to their faces? Impossible.

Utilizing such a powerful Marine force to fool them, only mentally ill people would do such a thing, so they weren't worried. However they still decided to check and see, sending a Cipher Pol agent to check on Aokiji.

They encouraged Galan again before hanging up.

Galan closed the phone and Olvia looked at him strangely. He frowned, "What." Olvia was stunned and replied "Talking about Robin like this right in front of my face?" Galan rolled his eyes and ignored her, she was so annoying!

He called Aokiji and said simply "Nico Robin, you go find her." Kuzan was stunned and complained "Why me?" Galan retorted "Because you let her go at O'Hara." Kuzan froze and Galan continued "Just shut up and follow my orders, I won't make you do anything against the Justice in your heart. I'm not that stupid fuck, Sakazuki. Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

Kuzan frowned suspiciously and asked "You mean…" Galan was starting to get annoyed by Olvia's looks and said badly "Kuzan. You find Robin. You scare her a bit. Then you can fuck off and go on vacation, I really don't care." Kuzan's eyes lit up, "Vacation?! No problem, Boss!" before he hung up, biking on the water as though he was in a race.

Galan's eyes twitched and he hung up. He turned around and said "Stop looking at me like that." Olvia leaned over and giggled "Do you like Robin? You can be her father in the future!" Galan pushed her face away, muttering "Mentally ill woman…" as he looked away from her.

Olvia's eyes sparkled and she giggled happily. She knew in her heart that Galan said one thing and meant another! It made her happy, he obviously cared about Robin a lot but he was too tough to admit it.

Otherwise, why would he put her under constant surveillance?

Just that thought alone made Olvia's heart very warm. She looked at Galan with a gentle and loving look, staying silent. He turned away and didn't look at her, continuing his work as he called Smoker, notifying him of his promotion.

Smoker said "But it was the Strawhats! I didn't do anything!" Galan replied "Too bad. You're promoted." Smoker exploded "No! I don't give a fuck, I'm not doing it!" Galan's lips twitched and he retorted "It's an order!" Smoker shouted at the snail "You can take your fucking orders and shove them up your fucking ass! You stupid fuckin-"

Hina clamped Smoker's mouth shut and held him back saying "Fleet Admiral-san, Smoker-kun is very happy. Hina will accept this for him." Galan held the microphone and Olvia laughed on the side, he started trembling and he said "Good. Report back to Marineford." before slamming the line shut.

Olvia held her sides and buckled over, laughing happily as Galan sat there expressionlessly, clenching his fists. He flipped open his notebook and wrote Smoker's name in the 'Good Marines' category, adding an extremely detailed description but finally labeling him 'Talent- Can be trusted'

He closed the notebook and finished up his work before going home.
