Suddenly, a voice brought Jin's focus back. 

"A blood, so this is your skill?" General Sun Lian's gaze shifted from the blood surrounding Jin to the glimmering light emanating from his earring.

"General, if possible, please don't kill him. His body and blood are precious," interjected a figure clad in a white lab coat, sporting glasses. 

This person, who had scrutinized Jin from head to toe with unabashed interest, was none other than Dr. Bei Ling—the individual Jin had seen interviewed on TV during that memorable night at the nightclub.

Jin cast a glance at Dr. Bei Ling, recognizing him instantly. General Sun Lian exchanged a brief glance with General Wei Chen, the latter nodding in approval of Dr. Bei Ling's request. 

Simultaneously, General Sun Lian issued an order for all soldiers to lower their guns, signaling a tentative reprieve in the escalating tension.
