Riding through the depths of the night, Li Mei clung to Jin from behind as he focused intently on the winding road ahead. 

A few Blood Slaves made a feeble attempt to pursue them but wisely chose to evade the duo. Soon, a larger group of Blood Slaves appeared on the horizon, yet their attention wasn't directed toward Jin. 

Instead, their collective focus seemed fixated on the explosion that had ripped through the ruined apartment complex.

Observing the surrounding buildings gradually filling with the telltale black dots of the Blood Slaves, Jin couldn't help but exhale in relief, realizing they were escaping another wave of another exhausting battle. 

At this point, even his passive skill, Wolf Tenacity, couldn't completely shield him from the exhaustion.
