Chi Rui gave Rize a confused look because he could not imagine her picking up trash randomly for no reason.

"I will explain later." She whispered to him. "Why are you all gathered around here?"

"Because the two love birds are planning to step away and get their marriage certificates. We are all here to run interference and make sure that nobody else stops them before they can make their get away."

"Now." Rize said. 

She thought they would be getting married tomorrow so why the sudden change of plan?

"Yes, Muyang is worried that something else might pop out of the shadows and try to keep them apart. He is not willing to risk it." 

"Ho, how romantic." Rize said with a chuckle. 

"Romantic or paranoid?" Chi Rui retorted.

"Can't it be both?" Rize replied. "

The two of them were looking at Chi Lian and Muyang who were all smiles and giddy with happiness. 

"Next year, that will be us." Chi Rui whispered to Rize.
