Chapitre 39: Chapter 39 Veer's Inner World and Core Development
As Veer waits for the train, someone calls out to him from behind.
"Hey, are you new? I have never seen you before," a girl's voice says.
"Yes, I am new here," Veer replies.
"Oh, that's interesting. Do you want to join our group?" the girl asks.
Veer takes a moment to think and notices a girl dressed in a warrior's battle suit who appears to be around 25 years old. He senses her aura and realizes she must be a rank 2 warrior.
"No, I can't join a group right now. I'm sorry," Veer tells the girl.
The girl doesn't seem upset by Veer's response. "No problem. Just take care of yourself," she says.
Veer nods in agreement and says, "You take care of yourself too. By the way, my name is Veer."
"Oh, sorry. I forgot to introduce myself," the girl responds. "My name is Fiona, and these are my friends. The one on my right is Goro, and the one on my left is Jiko."
Veer nods as he listens to Fiona. He greets all three of them before the train arrives. Veer starts walking towards the train.
"Okay, Veer, we'll meet later," Fiona says. Veer nods silently but doesn't say anything.
An evil smile appears on Fiona's face as she watches Veer leave.
She clicks her tongue and says, "Our new victim is slipping away. We'll chase him when he's not paying attention, and then we'll capture him," she says to her friends.
"Yes, especially with that new battle suit of his. Look how shiny it is. He must have acquired it recently. Once we defeat him, everything will be ours," a boy near Fiona adds.
"Come on, or else we'll miss the train," another boy says.
"Yes, let's go," they all say together.
The three of them start heading towards the train together, entering the same train cabin Veer had entered.
Soon, the train starts moving. Unaware of the fact that someone wants to hunt him down because of his new suit, Veer continues his journey.
After 20 minutes, Veer arrives at Forest 022 Camp Area and heads to the Camp Area Building, which is identical to the first Forest 055 Camp Area. He goes to the receptionist and uses his ID card to book a room for 5 days.
Inside the room, Veer lets out a sigh. "I think I've reached my limit. Maybe today, I can achieve the rank of a level 2 warrior and magician. Now, I should focus on cultivation," Veer thinks to himself.
He takes out bottles of nutritious food from his bag and drinks two of them in quick succession. Afterward, he closes his eyes and begins utilizing his mana and the technique of internal energy cultivation.
Within Veer's inner world, he sees three large, radiant stars. One of them is yellow and situated at the bottom, while the middle star is blue. The third star, larger in size and golden in color, shines brighter than the others.
Veer can sense the movements within his inner world and understands what is happening. In his inner world, all three stars shine together and sometimes dim. This is because Veer consumed nutritious food to replenish his mana and inner energy. It can be likened to how a person breathes, with their lungs exhaling air. Similarly, all three cores within Veer are functioning.
"Just a little more time, and I won't have any trouble becoming a level 2 warrior and magician," Veer tells himself.
As Veer is engrossed in developing his cores, deep within a cave 20 km away, a fast-paced breathing sound can be heard. The atmosphere surrounding the cave is chilling, as if in the Himalayas. There is a black-colored snake with red scars near its eyes, creating a fearful sight.
After 10 hours, Veer, drenched in sweat, opens his eyes. He feels a significant change within himself. Previously, he struggled to sense mana and internal energy, but now it feels as if his senses have sharpened. To test this newfound ability, he expands his sensory perception and can sense objects in his room without opening his eyes.
While observing his surroundings, Veer suddenly notices a warrior standing 5 to 10 meters away, seemingly looking towards his door. Initially, Veer contemplated testing his new powers, but something about this situation feels peculiar, prompting him to halt his expanding senses.
"Why do I have a feeling that person is following me? Judging by the amount of internal energy emanating from that warrior, I think they might be a level 2 as well. But why are they following me?" Veer ponders to himself.
Hmm, wait. I should first check if there have been any incidents where someone was being chased," Veer thinks to himself.
He searches on his smartwatch and finds several articles that are similar to his own situation. However, two of them have the same text written on them:
"A new Rank 1 Warrior is killed. His battle suit and everything he wore are taken."
"A new Rank 1 Magician is murdered by someone, and his battle suit and Malvan gear are stolen."
"So, it's the same case. If there were murders in these incidents, they must have chased the victims first. When the victims were alone, they must have been killed. Now, one of them will follow me, and when they find me alone, they will try to kill me and steal my belongings. Who do they think they are? Well, I will kill them before they kill me," Veer resolves within himself.
"However, they can't kill me in the Forest Camp Area building. They would definitely try to kill me in the forest when I'm hunting monsters.
