Chapitre 67: Amidst A Riot of Roses

"Wake up miss... wake up... master and lady are asking for you right now." Her maid Poly was calling her desperately, she was beaming and enlivened.

A chill went down Susan's spine with even the thought of meeting her parents. What now? What has she done? Would they really whip her this time?

Her hands were covered with dried black paint.

"What is it now?" Susan rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, her neck was stiff from sleeping in the cold. She wondered why was Poly so happy? Does she enjoy her mistress getting punished? However, Poly doesn't seem to be that type, although she served Susan half heartedly she was the only one Susan could rely on in this house.

Putting her shawl over her night gown she tried to go ahead. "No miss you can't go out like that. I need to prepare you. So hurry back to your room."

"Why? What's wrong with meeting them like this? Anyhow you know what they are going to say or do." Susan snapped. She was vexed.
