The minute the lord and the others walked into the sepulcher. Everyone stood up and bowed to them. The others went to join in the crowd leaving Lucas with her body in his arms. The whole place was silent and only the quiet steps of Lucas was heard. He walked down to the coffin with a foreign feeling overwhelming him. Every step he took towards that place which marked 'no return' made him weak. His entire body trembling slightly that it could be barely noticed. He wished and prayed that she would just move a bit, just a little assurance that she was still living, but nothing, not even a single heartbeat detected. Her skin was cold and lifeless. She was looking like an empty vessel.
He came to a halt just before the coffin tightening his hold on her, he bowed his head slightly, trying to hold in all of his emotions.
