Amon stopped taking out his anger on the car; leaning back into the car, he began to take long deep breaths, reflecting on himself and realised there were many areas he needed to improve.
[System reminder: 5 days until the event with Rebecca meeting the owner of a middle-class car company happens. Warning! 5 days remaining.]
The cold voice of the AI reminded him that his priorities were messed up because of the thing between his legs and lingering affection.
'I'm too reckless; why didn't I question things sooner, is the voice of that AI a different being or a trick? Why did the girl who hated me suddenly act like that... Deep down, the last feelings of Amon Winchester, who desired their love, still sleep deep within me.'
He watched as the black-haired Ethan argued with the guard, probably before he even had his cultivation technique, as Amon couldn't feel anything. The boy was wearing cheap clothes with dirty food stains and was likely bought from a second-hand market.
'If I were the usual Amon, wouldn't I go there and make a fuss about him being inferior? That's such an idiotic way to act.'
Amon's defeat to Alice affected his mind deeper than he could imagine, as the changes became far too different from his initial plans.
Initially wanting to use the secret technique of the Germanian maid to awaken his dragon Qi and improve his body to the limit.
Instead, a raging blue bird was now thrashing about his abdomen as the weak black dragon of his qi wasn't strong enough to fully contain its power, as blood began to drip from the corner of his mouth.
'I have no choice; the mistakes cannot be changed; let me learn from my foolish mistakes and deal with a more calm and collected mind.'
"Elma Strauss..."
He leaned against the wheel, tapping his forehead with his fingers, before shutting off the engine by the side of the road and leaving his supercar.
The clack of his leather shoes tapped with each step as he approached the door, noticing that Ethan looked towards him, seeming to smirk, before stepping back from the guard as if waiting for something.
'Does he want to make an issue that they won't let him in because he's dressed badly, then he'll flash some card or something that allows entry, maybe he helped Ming Xue's grandfather or something stupid?'
Amon shook his head; the last time he visited, Ming Xue gave him a VIP card, which was limited to this single piece; that wasn't that he was special, just a temporary measure show of her willingness to cooperate with the deal.
He looked at Ethan, giving a polite not wishing to avoid stupid arguments, then turned to the older guard from the other day, who looked at Amon with a fearful gaze.
"Afternoon, Dingzi, was it?"
"Ah... Yes, young master Winchester....!"
"Don't be so stiff here. Make sure to check my identification properly." Amon handed over the striking gold and black card with a mixed bouquet of red and black roses as the motif.
"Eh.. but!?"
Amon knew that with this, he could walk straight inside, but this might lead to a commotion from Ethan—right now, the worst possible situation was that everything was a lie, the system wasn't his complete ally, and there was still some heavenly will protecting Ethan.
'I have to be sure...'
Because of Amon's solemn face, Dingzi didn't mess around, his hands grasping the card after he wiped away the sticky sweat, nodding three times and leaving the female bouncer standing in silence with her pistol on her hips.
Thankfully, the door was slightly ajar, so he didn't need two people to open it this time.
Ethan suddenly pushed forward his shoulder, knocking into Amon as he almost sprinted past, stopped by the cold muzzle placed against his face, before he shouted to Dingzi,
"Hey... why are you ignoring me! I know a woman here is being forced against her will!"
'Wait, Isn't this supposed to be the scene where Erlang is arguing with his girlfriend, and she comments.... what was it... "You are forcing me to work here to pay your debts." Or something of the like... Ethan overhears this and starts making trouble... but Erlang isn't here! How does he know...'
In reality, it was because Erlang was a little dim and heavy-handed and hurt her in their daily couple sessions, and she was getting light revenge—typically, they would make up later in the day and have a nice meal together.
However, in the book... Erlang dies, and for some brain-dead reason, the girlfriend doesn't press charges and instead goes on to admire their strength, Ethan!
'Ridiculous...'
While the commotion was ongoing, Amon didn't get involved. There was no reason for him to do so now.
He was trying to think how to test if some force was keeping events proceeding themselves, something that the voice never spoke about or chose to hide.
After 10 minutes of Ethan complaining, spitting curses, and trying to reason with the female bouncer after hitting on her, he kicked stones near the steps below, his eyes sometimes looking at Amon sharply.
'I haven't done anything to you yet... stop glaring.'
Dingzi dashed back, sweat oozing from his large tanned forehead as he returned the card to Amon.
"Young master, the lady is busy today—however, the woman you have hired is ready to leave with you today. She is in the main entrance on the first floor."
"Thanks, Dingzi, also..." Amon leaned close to his ear before whispering the following words, not caring about the slight drops of sweat falling onto his designer suit; people cannot help their constitutions.
"Be careful of treating that boy like dirt—ask if he might have some identification or VIP pass from a Ming family member. Despite being a tiger, he seems to like causing trouble by acting like a pig."
"Oh...? Eh? Ooooh! I understand, young master Winchester!" Dingzi was much more respectable, whether fearing the violent damage to Erlang or merely because of the words he was told when checking the card—Amon wasn't too bothered as he smiled, walking past the old boy and entering the gaudy lounge for the second time in two days.
"So scary... poor Erlang's insides are torn apart from a simple tap.... now stuck in the first realm of cultivation for life!" Dingzi whispered as he returned to his work.
Amon didn't understand the damage because he was never a cultivator. Thus, he used his body as the standard.
When he sent a small amount of black dragon qi into Erlang, it destroyed many of the veins that would carry and supply qi to the main organs, ruining his life as a warrior.
"Well..."
Slowly he walked forward, trying to find where she might be. Although he knew she was of Germian descent with a slight hint of the polar empire in her blood, Amon never met the woman because she was elusive.
'If I remember properly, her family features were...'
As he was lost in thought, a beautiful woman who looked no older than 25 approached him, her body wrapped in a strange Western maid outfit with a Franzian twist—her long blond hair was messy but had a silky sheen, with various braids and half braids that made her look like an eastern or nordic Europan.
Amon looked at the woman for a moment, noting that her breasts were much too large to be efficient in combat, while her thighs looked soft and fleshy until she took a step, and they contracted into a tight muscle.
'Is it her!? That cute brown-haired maid's true visage!?'
The maid stopped before Amon, before she gave a light bow, her short skirt lifted, almost revealing her underwear; no, it revealed something more deadly, two pistols and knives, one on either leg as she fluttered her beautiful eyes, a brilliant emerald colour.
"Master Winchester, it's lovely to meet you for the second time. Are you willing to drink a nice Kanonkop Kadette Pinotage to celebrate you becoming my official master and employer?"
In her hands was a small folder with what seemed to be various documents and the other a large bottle of the said Pinotage.
"No, Miss Strauss, the pleasure is all mine. Before you officially become my maid and trainer, I want to say one thing first."
Amon's body straightened up as he placed his right arm across his chest and gave her a 45-degree bow, his brilliant amethyst eyes watching her every movement.
"Thank you, I sincerely thank you."
"Hah?"
"The act of saving my mother might have been boring or meant nothing to you. But it is worth any favour you should ask in the future."
His body slowly lifted as he recalled mistakes from last night, not wanting to forget his priorities anymore.
First, his mother's safety and happiness.
Second, his own life and his mother's business.
Third, living an enjoyable life.
Fourth make things difficult for Ethan, should the presence of a rebound or guiding force be proven to exist.
Fifth, defeat Ming Xue, the genius in a business confrontation.
Amon's last two were optional, the last being something he wanted to do with all his heart.
[Task Generated]
'No. No task for her. This is my own thing, my desire, and you won't sully it! Delete it!'
[Task Deleted!]
He noticed that after her slight instant of shock, Elma quickly recovered and returned to her slightly aloof and haughty look, which he didn't mind.
She was here to help him get strong, not soothe his ego.
Amon then switched from a man giving thanks for saving his mother to Amon Winchester, the businessman and employer.
"I look forward to having you in my service; there are things I need from you and in return. I will become the test subject for your most desired goal."
