"I made a deal with the devil" I couldn't help but mutter allowed. Looking at his appearance I couldn't help be slightly charmed as the horns and wings made him look exotic ' snap out of a Barbara, it's probably just some magic to ensnare me' taking a deep breath I calmed my nerves. " I've come for my end of the deal! I want to walk again"
Sirzechs pov
"Hahahaha, Barbara dear. When making a deal with the devil it's best to be specific. For example you want to walk again. I'll simply force you to walk using magic for a few seconds and the deal is complete. As my first contractor I'll give some advice, be more specific" at my words the face of the 4 dropped they moved into passions around Barbara silently to make sure she's protected. However they forgot something else. " Albedo dear, don't you think these three look rather hostile in my own home?" Yet again they visibly stiffened " indeed master, they have some nerve to act like this infront as one as mighty as you" she appeared by my right with her wings and horns on full display and a blush on her face.
Looking at the four I could tell they were panicked after all they had to face two devils now instead of one. They had heard from Constantine the difference between devils and demons. Yet they walked right into its nest.
Standing up I retracted my wings and horns, walking over to the four I grabbed Barbara chin" so little Barbara, want me to fix you up?" Because of my approach I was being watched like a hawk and in this case a hawk was actually watching. " that's right, as part of our contract I want the favour to be that you heal my injuries"
Truthfully I wasn't that shocked, the deal of a life time and you come into the room wheel chair bound, the choice is obvious right? " alright Barbara, I'll fix you i'll also add a few improvements hmmm" at my words she could only look down and nod as I was incredibly close. Using telekinesis I flipped a hidden switch. Said switch opened up a secret elevator allowing Barbara to get to the first basement, where my work shops are.
As the elevator door open I've already begun moving over I hear a little conversation.
" are you sure this is wise Barbara?" Dinah couldn't help but as. Helena also added " I agree this could end very badly for all 4 of us" at the their other companion couldn't help but nod. Standing in the elevator i couldn't help but say " are you coming or just going to stand around gossiping" at this they got startled for a moment before realising I could hear them. Quickly they all moved into the elevator, most likely they didn't wish to press their luck.
During the elevator ride I couldn't help but ask. "Are you girls not going to introduce yourself, after all I've welcomed you into my home no?"
They look at each other and not. Barbara introduced them " that's Dinah, Sheria and Helena." At this I got a wave a " nice to meet you and a nod. The three types of greeting in one " you three are very amusing especially for you so called hero's" once again they visibly stiffened. " I'm just joking these no way right. After all how could you be hawkgirl you don't have wings, you couldn't be black canery as you're not in tights and the same goes for her she couldn't be huntress. However then these little batgirl who lost her ability to move because Batman failed. How does it feel it be left in a chair, knowing the man you love will never call your name with passion or emotion again hm" the longer I trailed on the move nervous they where getting, they didn't wish to cause a scene because they where in casual clothes however I wanted to push these so called hero's, after all when someone breaks their own ideologies it's amusing to see where they go.
A few second later the door opened " common little hero's time to fix your friend. " saying that I walked into the alchemy section ignoring their reaction. " lie down on the table so that I can tell what's wrong with you" at this they pause do a moment and agree to go along with it. After all devil are known to honour their words it's just the meaning can be twisted.
After her friends helped her onto the table I moved move asked her to turn around and began to prod at her lower back around the scar tissue. "Interesting, these traces of Atlantean magic, as well as Amazon magic" walking over to my ingredients however another idea came to mind. " Barbara, how about making some more identity's for me and I'll do more then just heal your Injury?" Thinking for a moment she respond "how many"
"around two thousand, however it'll be worth it I promise I'll make it so even Batman would struggle to fight you hahaha " at this she was hesitant but once I created another contract and she noticed their was no clause, meaning she could tell who ever she liked after this but that's what I wanted. After all who doesn't want a showdown with Batman. A human so cunning he can beat superman, of course I'd be interested.
All be it reluctantly she still signed the contract after she finished I clapped my hands. " alright then Barbara. You now own, a regeneration factor, super strength, speed, endurance. I'll also enhance your brain as well meaning you can memorise and think faster but I can't increase talent" whist this was happening I cast a sound proof bubble so only she new what was going on. Moving back over to a table I found the individual syringes each one with a different ability. If I was to Rank the level of then it would be lower, middle, higher ultimate. The once related to the brain where higher as I was feeling generous. The ones related to the body were only middling. Even so she'd still have the ability to man handle Bane.
Walking back over to Barbara i placed my hand on her spine, the area between the neck and back. The C6 vertebra. as this was where the injection would take effect faster.
The first one I did was regeneration. As the liquid was pushed into her spine she screamed out in pain. At this her three friends rushed forward only to be met by Albedo. " you dare interfere!"
Dinah pov.
Everything about this was sketchy, Barbara had never mentioned having met Sirzechs Gremory. He was on the leagues list of suspected metas. However he rarely leaves his manor. Today I got to meet the man because he apparently owed Barb. Currently we were driving up to his manor after having already passed the gate.
But that was when Barbara mentioned something which shook me, she claimed he was a powerful wizard. This left me on guard as it would be difficult to deal with a magic users on Kent's level.
Arriving at the front of the manor we were greeted by the most beautiful woman I'd ever scene. It was uncanny, however she gave off the aura of someone strong. Barbara engaged in small talk during with the woman named Albedo. From what I could understand it was that Barbara was worn to secrecy from a magical contract.
After a few minutes of walking we arrived at the office of Sirzechs Gremory. Albedo knocked three times before entering, and what I saw shocked me. A young man around 14-15 was set in a chair with 8 dark leathery wings sprouting from his back and a crown of horns upon his head. It wasn't until Barbara muttered something about a devil did I started to panic. However he seemed rather human considering the fact, he's was well a devil. As the conversation moved so did we until we entered an elevator.
"you three are very amusing especially for so called hero's" at that moment everything stopped. I wanted to leave with everyone but I couldn't we where already going down the elevator but maybe he could help us, help Barbara.
Once the elevator doors opened we ended up in some type of laboratory, one of the magical kind. He began talking to my friend yet no matter how hard it tried I couldn't hear what was going on. After a small conversation where he did most the talking we walk of towards what appeared to be type of distillation set up. I couldn't hold my curiosity so I asked. " Sirzechs what did you talk about" turning towards me a charming smile plastered on his face his proudly spoke " doctor, patient confidentiality, miss Dinah"
After grabbing a tray full of injections he walked back over to Barbara and turned her over. In the next few second he injected her with a red liquid that appeared to have golden dots swelling within.
Everything was fine for a few seconds until Barbara let out a large scream. Me, shiera and Helena rushed forward to help her until the lady known as Albedo appeared and screamed something about interfering.
Albedo delivered a powerful kick towards shieras stomach which sent her flying back into the wall. I was worried but what could I do. After a few second I noticed she only attacked if we got close enough having Helena check on hawkgirl I walk forward slowly until Albedo spoke again " not another step human" I did stop however I still looked over at Barbara. She was riving on the table. What ever he had given her was killing her I need to get her back to the league and into a medical pod. Taking a deep breath i pretend to move a bracelet up my wrist slightly but when I did so I sent a distress signal.
After a minute Barbara stopped writhing on the table. Her eyes shot open and she stood up effortlessly. I couldn't help but cry for my friend. The past 9 months have been so hard for her. Afterwards the she lay back down and he inject over liquids into her and 2 minutes later they where all empty. I wanted to know what it was but it wasn't my place to ask.
It was just then that I realised I'd called a distress signal and that the gremory manor was probably being raided. I couldn't help but blush a little since it might have been an overreaction as he has helped us. I think we should be the one to explain to the League not him.
Batman pov
Looking at the bat computer I couldn't help but sigh. It was on of my days off yet I couldn't stop myself from working. Alfred had already reprimanded me for this. However, Gotham never sleeps, so when can I.
Scrolling through recent case files I distress signal appeared on my computer standing up I immediately went over to the armoury with haste I prepared myself. Once dressed in the batsuit I made the location of the leagues distress signal. It was in Gotham, my very own city. Looking at the quick responders I saw that green arrow and superman where on their way. Pinpointing the location I couldn't help but find it strange. "The gremory manor, what on earth is she doing their"
I would be lying if I didn't have suspicions about the place but during these past few months penguin has been giving more trouble then normal. He breaks out easily, from the cell it appeared he punched through a concrete wall on one occasion, another ripped the bars off. He has acquire super strength by some method further investigation required.
Stepping over to the batwing and entering the cockpit I type in the coordinates and immediately departed.
After 2 minutes of flying I arrived at the manor, as I did so superman arrived carrying green arrow, they must have met at the boom tubes. " superman scan the building" my voice monotone and emotionless. After a split second she replied. " it's empty wait someone is coming" at this 2 ninjas appeared one orange another blue.
It became a stand of 2 against 3. Before I could say anything green arrow shouted " where is black Canary!" Knocking an arrow he sent it towards the orange ninja, I was being cautious I didn't believe they where so simple.
In a swift motion he caught the arrow burst into flames appeared in front of green arrow slamming his right knee into his nose with so much force he recoiled several meters away. Bursting into flames gain he appeared by the blue ninja. This time I asked a question, " where is the black canary, speak " the ninjas made eye contact briefly before the blue one spoke " 4 individuals came to visit lord Gremory, we where not informed of names. Our joke is to keep I intruders out." For a money he pause only to continue swiftly " the lord has no intention to harm them they fall return. You in the pyjamas and cape, there is basement all four are their they can scan once again with those eyes of yours" when the blue one finished I looked to superman to see him looking down " does he speak true superman?" I could see his eyes tracing the building looking for the elevator, second later superman confirmed. " I've scene them 6 people heading up from a basement level"
After a few seconds of contemplating I decided it was best to heed the blue ones warning however i will still prob for information " identify yourself ninjas " for a moment they glanced at each other. Before the blue one spoke " I am sun-zero, leader of the lin-qu" next the orange one " I am scorpion, leader of the shira-Ri-u" looking at them I could gather I wouldn't get anymore however if their ability was similar maybe the blue one used water or ice to attack like how the orange one used fire.
After another 30 seconds green arrow regained consciousness getting up he saw the deadlock nockinf another arrow this time at the blue one I shouted " wait arrow, their coming be patient. Superman give me an ETA." Turning to face me superman responded " they stop in an office, they appear to be talking their heart rates are high, one appears unconscious with 7 broken ribs, from the bone structure and the fact she as wings, I'd say its hawkgirl" it this I narrowed my eyes, was everything truly okay.

In all honesty the reason updates are so bad is because the only knowledge of the dc universe I have is from the Batman Arkham games. I've never even watched young justice or any dc related tv show. Does anyone know where I can watch young justice for free so that I can make this fanfic better
