DECEMBER, 16 YEARS AND 4 MONTHS UNTIL THE STARSPAWN INVASION

The results of blood testing—the spell for which was significantly improved since Irmilla came up with it—for the first time showed a possessed person within the Kingdom of the Bear.

The blood sample belonged to a high-ranking member of the Church. There was no mistake about it.

As soon as the possessed person was identified, Cael called Niko to track the Starspawn behind him down. The first thing that the diviner did was ensure that the priest really was possessed.

They didn't even talk with the possessed priest to avoid alerting the Starspawn behind him. It was enough to be in the same city for Niko's magic to work.

It improved significantly thanks to Dieter's library and, apparently, tutoring. Now Niko could not just tell that the priest was possessed, but track that possession back to the Starspawn without the latter having to show his power first.
