Chapitre 405: Chase

Dieter saw the snow spider thing just as well as Cael. But what for others was an obstacle, for him, was an opportunity.

Finally! After all the exhaustion of just keeping up with the other group, he had his chance to get ahead.

He even won't have to break his small agreement with Cael. Not that Dieter truly cared, but he would prefer to not give the other man reasons to attack first.

Dieter was at a disadvantage, and if he could use Cael's goals against him—as strange as those were—then he would.

"They are going to have their hands tied with that thing," Dieter said, pointing at Cael's group as they prepared for the fight. "Whatever it is, destroying it will clearly take time. Ronzio, let's give them a wide berth and go straight for the spire."

The artificer nodded, setting their sled on the course. The maneuver wasn't left unnoticed.
