Things had been happening really fast since the semester started. We had started that whole unity group thing. Elias had met his mate, that lucky man. Lyssa and Rika had also gotten their mates, both of whom people that they had known before. We all knew who Lyssa's was, but Rika's was a shocker. And, on top of that, there was that attack.

That attack was the biggest surprise so far. We had been at the first meeting of our new student organization when this man, Jonah, had been attacked. He had been left for dead, and if it wasn't for my cousin, Ilana, he wouldn't be here anymore. It had been a crazy time, that was for sure. I was just glad that he lived. We didn't need any humans dying because of us.
