Monterey, Mexico.
Ferdinand was sitting casually enjoying a cup of coffee accompanied by a bagel sprinkled with cocoa powder, while Irina sat beside him.
"Sometimes I wonder, what kind of company do you work for? Why do you always come home late?" Irina wondered.
"Um…" Ferdinand swallowed his saliva, feeling anxious every time Irina mentioned his work. "One day... I'll take you there."
"Erm, but I'm not sure..." Irina embraced Ferdinand's arm, resting her chin on his shoulder. "I don't like your job anymore, so I'm lazy to go there..."
Ferdinand smiled in relief, glancing at Irina who was looking to be pampered. "You don't need to worry. I'll keep working while I look for another job."
"Don't be too client friendly….I'm afraid that you will be liked by clients who might be like the woman yesterday," said Irina, remembering Katherine. "She's so beautiful... She's so perfect... Even I want to have a bag like hers."
