Chapitre 2: Preparations
It has been a month since I was reincarnated in this world as Ace.
I have been told by Dadan that Garp will be coming to the island today on 1 of his vacations. I'm going to ask him to get me some stuff. After all, he's the Hero Of The Marines. He can probably get most things in the world through his connections.
I also have been training myself and developing some skills. One of the skills is using a cutlass. It a good weapon and my father used that type of weapon.
Speaking of my father, I wonder where his sword, Ace, went. My theory is that Rayleigh, his right hand man, is hoarding it somewhere. I'll try to find it and make it my signature weapon. After all, a son should take after his father.
I also have been trying to hone in my Conquerors Haki. It will be my most powerful skill after all when it is at its full potential.
Another thing I'm thinking about is my future crew. I won't be submitting under Whitebeard, that's for sure.
I want a crew of powerhouses. I want none of my crew members to be weak like Luffy's cannon crew. It's a joke, half of them don't even know Haki!
Enough thinking about that, I have to wait by the docks for Garp when he comes.
I ran over to the other side of the island in 10 minutes. I got there just in time as I could see a Marine ship at the dock.
I stop running and awaited the man I have been looking for to disembark from the ship. My eyes widen as the man I've been looking for jumps off the ship.
Garp was so tall!If I had to guess, he would stand well above 9 feet in height. He wore a black suit with his Marine cape. He looked so imposing. I would definitely believe he could box with the likes of Roger and Whitebeard in his' prime.
"Ace, you never meet me at the docks", He said looking confused.
"Oh my bad, I guess I can't greet my grandpa", I crossed my arm sarcastically. I was joking but I guess I hit a nerve with Garp.
"You obviously can greet me, you brat!',He hissed out at me.
I laughed at this but our bickering was interrupted as another person disembark from the ship.This time, the man leaves the ship normally and not jumping off the ship like Garp.
He was a tall man, roughly half a head higher than Garp. He has short hair. He wears a marine coat, which is draped over his shoulders. He wears a matching beige suit with a hat to match his suit.
He has his katana on his left hip, attached to his belt with a brown strap. The sword has a grey-wrapped hilt, a golden rounded-cross shaped tsuba and a deep green sheath.
It was Garp's right hand man, Bogard.
"Who's this kid, Garp. You talk about Luffy but failed to mention your other grandson", he said questioning his superior.
Bogard is just a funny thing to me.He has barely any screen time and lines yet he is talked about on the internet disproportionately.
For me, to be Garp's right hand probably means you train with Garp. The strongest I think he could be are the likes of King and Queen.
"Oh Bogard, this is my adopted grandson, Ace", he said scratching the back of his head.
Bogard nodded liking the answer and return to being silent.
"Where is Luffy",Garp asked wanting to know where his other grandson
"He is at our tree house, let's go", I said before turning around and walking to the tree house. Garp and Bogard followed.
While we were walking, I asked Garp about some of the things I want.
"Gramps, if it was possible, can you buy me a book about navigating and how to navigate. I'm really passionate about it", I said with a smile.
I wasn't passionate about navigating at all. I just know I'm probably going to be solo on the sea for a little bit and I need to navigate to survive. Garp bought it though and he laughed.
"We have a manual on the ship.I'll get it for you in the morning", he smiled. He seems happy that I found to fantasize about anything other than pirating.
Garp finally notices the small cutlass I have stuffed in my pants. It was peeking out a little bit. He winced because it reminded him of his rival , Gol D Roger.
"A cutlass huh Ace! You should use your fists like", he said flexing his muscles.
The rest of the day was pretty fun. It's time for my plan to start. While Garp and Bogard were talking with Dadan and Luffy was being Luffy, I skedaddled over to their ship.
I knew no marines would be there as it was just Bogard and Garp on the ship. The people and bandits wouldn't touch the ship as they fear the marines.
I go into the ship and snoop around trying to find what I really want. That's when I made it to Bogard's room. I look into his drawers and saw exactly what I needed.
Right there, in all of its glory, was a Rokushiki Manual. I knew Bogard would have something like this on the ship and with him
Rokushiki is a dangerous martial art when used as its maxed potential. It offers mobility, defense and offensive moves too. It's perfect for a future pirate like me. I hope Bogard doesn't notice until it's too late.
I hauled the book to the tree house and hid it under my bed.
It was a successful haul.
Life has been doing good so far. With this Rokushiki Manual, it will up my strength even more. It's one small step to being Pirate King.
