Evander's heart was racing in anticipation, and he hoped that Cole would see that he had true feelings for him when he asked for a kiss as his wish.

It would show that he wasn't interested in Cole's wealth. Maybe then, he would have a better chance of winning his heart.

Luke, on the other hand, felt nothing but anger towards Evander. He regretted ever helping him win the hunt.

Suddenly, Cole declared, "The winner of the hunt is Persie!"

Everyone applauded, but Demetrius was surprised. Unlike Evander, he had not taught Persie how to hunt.

Luke was also taken aback but happy for Persie, and he flashed a smile at him, which was reciprocated.

Evander was so shocked that he forgot to clap. When Persie looked at him with a hint of disappointment, everyone followed his gaze, and they felt that it was rude of Evander not to acknowledge Persie's victory, especially after he had helped Evander secure a promotion.
