Chapitre 35: Survival (2)
Aiden focused intently on his task as he worked on concocting various potions and pills to aid in their battle against the beast tide. He meticulously measured out each ingredient, his hands moving with practiced ease as he mixed and brewed the various concoctions.
Meanwhile, Ivy, the old sect master, and the 5 sect elders were locked in a fierce battle against the beasts. Their movements were fluid and precise as they dodged and weaved, striking out at the beasts with deadly force.
The beasts were relentless, their numbers seemingly endless as they charged at the sect members with ferocious intent. Ivy, despite her lower rank, held her own in the fight, her movements quick and agile as she dodged the beasts' attacks.
The old sect master and the sect elders fought with a calm, focused intensity, their years of experience and training evident in every move they made. But even with their combined efforts, the beasts seemed to keep coming, their strength and tenacity testing the limits of the sect members' endurance.
Aiden worked feverishly, his brow furrowed in concentration as he mixed and brewed the final potion. As he poured the bubbling liquid into a vial, he could hear the roars of the beasts growing louder.
He hurriedly grabbed a handful of pills, stuffing them into his pouch before grabbing the vial and rushing towards the sect members, who were now backed up against a wall, fending off the beasts with their weapons.
"Take this!" Aiden shouted, tossing the vial towards Ivy. "It'll give you a boost of strength and speed!"
Ivy caught the vial deftly, quickly downing the potion before leaping forward with renewed vigor. The other sect members followed suit, popping the pills into their mouths and feeling their bodies surge with energy.
The sect master leapt forward and slashed the beasts with precise accuracy. She was starting to feel that her power had grown by a large margin.
Together, they charged forward, their weapons glinting in the sunlight as they battled the beasts with renewed ferocity. The tide of the battle was starting to turn, and with Aiden's potions and pills aiding them, the sect members began to push back against the beasts.
Suddenly, A loud roar sounded in everyone's ears, making the beasts go wild, their eyes suddenly turned red, their canines popping out, targetting their preys.
A Giant beast appeared in the middle of the group of the beasts, seemingly the leader of the tide.
The giant beast was a winged lion with pitch black skin and two devilish horns on it's head.
"He is the leader! Kill him and the beasts will instantly retreat!" The old sect master signaled at everyone to attack the giant beast.
The lion didn't back off either and bared it's fangs at the old sect master, revealing it's ferocious intentions.
Aiden was still focusing on the beasts and didn't have enough time to look at the giant lion.
He was doing his best to stop the beasts from harming anyone, including him.
He was using the sword goven by the old sect master as it was of a good quality.
He now understood the importance of weapons in situations like these, he kinda regretted not bringing any weapon with him. What if the old sect master didn't have the sword with her? What would have happened, would he be able to fight bare handed? He was really scared at just the thought of this.
Everyone now shifted their attacks at the gaint lion, the giant lion was also using many powerful skills, giving them a hard time.
Aiden was now done with the small beasts and decided to attack the gaint lion as it was the leader here.
"Guys!" He shouted, tossing 7 pills in the air.
Everyone caught the pills and swallowed them in an instant. Their bodies once again felt a sudden surge of power, making their stamina get fully replenished.
As the sun began to set, the beasts kept dying at the hands of the sect members and Aiden. They breathed a collective sigh of relief. Aiden grinned, his satisfaction evident as he looked around at the carnage they had wrought.
The giant lion was severely injured and the other beasts were at the verge of dying. This battle was already decided, making them relax a bit.
The sect leader, elders and Aiden prepared a final attack to finish the giant lion.
They all chanted their best spells, fusing them all to make a giant sphere-shaped ball of energy.
Everyone used all of their strength to hit the lion with the powerful sphere of energy, making the lion and the surrounding beasts shiver.
"Boom-" The attack was finally released, hitting the giant lion's chest.
"Krahhh!!" The giant lion screamed in pain before dropping dead on the ground.
The sect leader decided to confirm the death of the lion. She moved forward and checked if the lion still had some life force left.
She sighed and then put up a tired smile on her face. " We've finally won." She passed the good news, making everyone cheer aloud.
The group then began to gather their weapons and belongings. They knew that this victory had come at a cost, but with Aiden's help, they had come out on top.
Now, the sect master was only worried about the mysterious figure who was the reason behind all this.
She turned around and said, " Everyone, lets move on and find the dragon, its somewhere in here..." She said with a serious look on her face.
"Yeah, lets find it." Ivy also agreed.
Aiden and the elders also nodded their heads and the search began once again.
As they were all looking for any hidden places, a loud roar erupted from the nearby cave.
"Krahhhhh!!!-
